Hallmark Stars Kevin McGarry, Kayla Wallace Expecting Their First Child: ‘Can’t Wait to Meet You, Baby’
The Hallmark Channel family is growing!
When Calls the Heart stars Kevin McGarry and Kayla Wallace are expecting their first child, they announced on Tuesday.
“We can’t wait to meet you, baby. Premiering 2026,” the couple wrote in a joint Instagram post. The also shared a photo of McGarry cradling Wallace’s baby bump.
‘When Calls the Heart’ stars wed in 2024
Wallace and McGarry met in 2018 on the set of the romantic Hallmark drama. He has played Mountie Nathan Grant since season 6. She played Fiona Miller in seasons 6 through 10 before stepping away to work on the Paramount+ series Landman, where she plays lawyer Rebecca Falcone. She returned to When Calls the Heart earlier this year, appearing in a handful of season 12 episodes.
The couple went public with their romance in 2020 and got engaged in December 2022. In September 2024, McGarry confirmed that he and Wallace had tied the knot.
Wallace and McGarry didn’t play a couple on When Calls the Heart, where his character is in a relationship with Erin Krakow’s Elizabeth Thornton. But they have starred together in two romantic Hallmark movies, Feeling Butterflies and My Grown-Up Christmas List.
After McGarry and Wallace shared their happy news, congratulations rolled in from many of their fellow Hallmark stars.
“Best news for the best couple,” wrote Taylor Cole.
“The most wonderful news! So happy for you!!!” commented Lacey Chabert.
“So happy for you all!!!!!!!!!” Rachel Boston chimed in.
Krakow was over the moon for her co-stars, writing that she “can’t wait to snuggle this little McGarry!!!” Meanwhile, When Calls the Heart’s Pascale Hutton shared her “huge congratulations”

Earlier this year, McGarry spoke about how grateful he was both personally and professionally for his role on the hit Hallmark series.
“I owe a lot to When Calls the Heart for not only helping my career and giving me a job and meeting all my friends, but meeting Kayla, meeting my wife, it’s been the most special part of being on that show,” he told Swooon.
Would the pair ever team up for another Hallmark movie? McGarry says he’s game, but he added that Wallace’s focus right now was on Landman.
“We love working together. I think it’s just more right now, Kayla’s kind of got her own trajectory, going in a different direction, and I think she wants to focus on that,” he said. “I’d never say never. But, like I said, she’s a busy lady right now, and she’s got prior commitments.”
