‘House of David’ Season 2 First-Look Photos: Biblical Drama Returns in October
A biblical hero prepares to face his destiny in season 2 of House of David.
First-look photos for the new season of the epic drama from Wonder Project and Amazon MGM Studios have just been released, giving fans a glimpse of what’s in store for David (Michael Iskander) in the aftermath of his battle with Goliath (Martyn Ford) at the end of season 1.

David might have defeated the giant, but will face new challenges as he navigates palace politics, his family’s jealousy, and a growing romance in season 2. In the process, he’ll step deeper into his destiny and learns what it means to become a great leader.
“In season 2, David becomes the warrior, and learns to be careful what you wish for,” executive producer Jon Erwin told Variety. “Destiny comes at a cost. Fame and success are complex things to navigate, and as this character continues his rise, all those screws of intensity and drama tighten as the truth comes closer and closer to this character and a truth that threatens to unravel everything.”

The new season will pick up in the immediate aftermath of David’s triumph over Goliath, with one photo showing him standing in front of the dead giant.
Another photo shows King Saul (Ali Suliman) in a seemingly tense conversation with his wife, Ahinoam (Ayelet Zurer). We also see Saul wielding a sword as he rides into battle and David and Michal (Indy Lewis) sharing a tender moment.
