How Big Is Carrie Bradshaw’s Gramercy Park Home?
Carrie Bradshaw already appears to have a love-hate relationship with her new home. HBO Max just released episode 2 of And Just Like That’s third season. Episode 2 gave us a much closer look at the Gramercy Park West property Carrie is now calling home. While beautiful, the home seems downright cavernous without a ton of furniture in it. Do you know just how big the house is?
How big is Carrie Bradshaw’s new home?
Carrie Bradshaw’s first address was fictional; her new address is very much real. Carrie’s new apartment, located at 3 Gramercy Park West, offers a variety of amenities. The home’s outdoor charm is important. It has a private backyard and a key to a residents-only park. The interior isn’t short on space, either. The real-life property spans about 1,700 square feet.

While 1,700 square feet may seem small to people who reside outside of New York City, the square footage is considered spacious by Manhattan standards. According to RentCafe, the average Manhattan apartment is around 740 square feet. The property is also substantially larger than the co-op unit Carrie sold to Lizette in season 2 of the Sex and the City reboot. The Gramercy Park home is more than four times as spacious as her studio.

Carrie’s beloved studio inside a well-maintained brownstone was located on the Upper East Side at the fictional address 245 East 73rd Street. While the property wasn’t short on charm, it was short on living space. The home, which consisted of a kitchen, a seating area that doubled as her workstation, a sleeping alcove, and an extensive walk-through closet, was no more than 400 square feet. While the property felt spacious, thanks to its largely minimalist design, it was actually quite small, even for a single person.
How much would the property cost in real life?
Carrie Bradshaw never revealed how much she paid for the Gramercy Park pad she purchased to live in with Aidan Shaw. While she never revealed the asking price, it’s safe to say it did not come cheap. The real property was sold back in 2019 for $4.49 million. The interiors of the real unit look nothing like the interior we are growing used to on And Just Like That…, though.

Interestingly enough, none of the ladies have ever revealed how much they’ve paid for their homes, and we’ve seen several property changes over the years. In the original series, Carrie, Miranda Hobbes, and Samantha Jones all purchased apartments. Charlotte York battled for her Park Avenue pad during the show’s original run, too. Real estate was discussed in both movies, as well, and buying and selling real estate has been a storyline multiple times in And Just Like That… Still, no solid numbers have been mentioned.
