Isis Gaston, better known as Ice Spice, continues to make her name known in the music industry. After dominating the charts with her signature Bronx drill sound and landing high-profile collaborations, the Grammy-nominated artist has evolved into a powerhouse of her own. Unfortunately, conversations continue to swirl around her appearance, as fans questioned whether she used GLP-1 medications, like Ozempic, for weight loss. Here’s how she responded online and what she’s said in the past.

Ice Spice addressed rumors that she used Ozempic for weight loss in 2026

Since Ice Spice’s breakout moment in 2022 with “Munch (Feelin’ U),” she’s gained momentum in rap and hip-hop. Her collaborations with Nicki Minaj and Taylor Swift have brought her to the forefront of pop culture, and fans are excited to see what she’s up to next.

Most recently, it’s Ice Spice’s gym routine that garnered attention. A fan posted a clip on X of the rapper wearing a hoodie and bike shorts while exercising. Ice Spice can be seen working with dumbbells and machines for leg work as well as performing planks and splits on the ground. She also does cardio, as she flashed a peace sign while running on the treadmill.

Unfortunately, another fan reposted the clip with the caption, “This weak a** video just shows it was definitely from Ozempic.”

To that, Ice Spice responded, “na it was depression im better now tho,” with a heart emoji.

Fans supported the rapper on Reddit, noting that commenting on anyone’s weight is never a good idea.

“Another reminder why you probably shouldn’t comment on weight loss or gain,” one fan wrote.

“Eating disorders, mental health issues, sudden trauma, hormonal imbalance, etc., are all common reasons,” another fan commented regarding weight loss. “None of us know what these people are going through. Let’s stop commenting on their bodies.”

Ice Spice dealt with rumors regarding her weight in the past. In August 2024, Complex reports that she took to X Spaces while promoting her album, Y2K!, to combat any talk of GLP-1 and Ozempic usage.

“B****, I wish y’all never learned the word Ozempic,” she said. “That’s one thing I wish. Oh my god, like, what even is Ozempic? What the f*** is that? Like, genuinely, what is that, bro? Like, you lazy ass b****es never heard of a gym? It’s called a gym; it’s called eating healthy; it’s called being on tour. Like, what the hell? Maybe if I was sitting home all f***ing day, it’d be easier to stay big.” Ice Spice also gave fans a glimpse into her workout routine at the time, which showed her running and lifting weights.

In 2025, she then posted a clip of herself twerking on her Instagram Stories with the caption, “So happy to be thick asf again.”
