Ice Spice entered 2025 as one of hip-hop’s most closely watched stars, continuing to take her viral momentum into music success. The Bronx-born rapper, known for her signature drill sound and breakout hits like “Munch (Feelin’ U)” and “Princess Diana,” has spent the year expanding her presence beyond social media buzz into the mainstream. Now, Ice Spice has a future goal: to work with one of the biggest stars in the business, Beyoncé. But she was completely “starstruck” after meeting another huge (and controversial) name in the industry. Here’s who.

Ice Spice continued her rapid rise in 2025, solidifying her status as one of the most talked-about artists in hip-hop while expanding her influence beyond music. The Bronx-born rapper remained a constant presence in pop culture, thanks to high-profile collaborations and headline-making appearances. And in December 2025, she spoke to Us Weekly to name “25 Things You Don’t Know About Me” in their issue.

During her conversation with Us Weekly, the New York rapper named the last show she binged, her favorite song from her catalog, and who she felt most “starstruck” meeting in the entertainment industry. While she named Beyoncé as the one musician she hoped to collaborate with in the future, it was Nicki Minaj whom she felt the most starstruck by.

“The most starstruck moment I’ve had was meeting Nicki Minaj,” she told the publication. “Not gonna lie, meeting Nicki was crazy.”

In 2023, Ice Spice talked about her experience meeting Minaj. She and Minaj collaborated on the songs “Princess Diana (Remix)” and “Barbie World.”

“I was, like, nervous to get there,” she told Apple Music’s Zane Lowe. “Once I got there, I was like, ‘OK, I’m chilling.’ But then I heard her, like, say something, and then I got nervous.”

“When she hugged me, I started crying … I cried, but I walked away,” Ice Spice continued. “Like, I didn’t say anything to her. I just feel like, ‘Bro, like just the journey.’ You know I love Nicki, and meeting her was great and everything, but for me, it also just mostly felt like, ‘This is a full circle moment.'”

Nicki Minaj has shown public support for the Bronx rapper in the past

Nicki Minaj continues to drum up controversy in 2025. During an on-stage conversation with Erika Kirk, Minaj embraced right-wing political figures, calling conservative activists “the cool kids.” In addition to the political drama, Minaj’s longstanding feud with fellow rapper Cardi B reignited throughout 2025. The dispute played out publicly on social media, with both artists exchanging personal jabs.

In 2023, well before the current controversies, Nicki Minaj showed her support for Ice Spice. According to WGCI-FM, Minaj reacted to Ice Spice’s cover of Dazed magazine by commenting, “The people’s princess. @icespice Catch it!!!”

In another comment on Ice Spice’s photos, Minaj commented, “B****es slow so I gih dem a pass. Nah. Grah! No more passes, princess. Let’s go,” referring to verses in their 2023 song, “Princess Diana.”

Ice Spice wants to collaborate with Beyoncé

Ice Spice has already collaborated with Nicki Minaj, but she has yet to have a shared musical experience with Beyoncé. While speaking to Us Weekly, the rapper noted that she’d love to collaborate with Beyoncé in the future, as she looks up to her.

“I’d like to make a song with Beyoncé,” Ice Spice said. “As a kid, I looked up to people like [her].”

While Ice Spice and Beyoncé haven’t made music together, Ice Spice previously modeled for Beyoncé’s fashion label, Ivy Park.

“When I got the call, I was in disbelief,” Ice Spice told People in 2023. “It was all sinking in on the flight over [to the photo shoot]. I’m still so excited to be a part of this. … [Beyoncé] inspires me with her constant hard work and classy mannerisms. I love how she handles herself.”
