Grant Ellis and Juliana Pasquarosa captured hearts as one of the standout couples on The Bachelor, turning heads with their undeniable chemistry and seemingly fairytale romance. From flirty first impressions to emotional final rose moments, their journey kept fans rooting for a happy ending. But off-camera, cracks may have been forming long before the public noticed. Now, with news of their unexpected split making waves, fans are left wondering what really went wrong. Here’s what fans think happened to cause Grant and Juliana’s breakup.

‘The Bachelor’ couple Grant Ellis and Juliana Pasquarosa officially broke up

Grant Ellis and Juliana Pasquarosa’s romance on The Bachelor quickly became a season highlight, fueled by their effortless chemistry and meaningful conversations. From early on, the two connected over their shared love of family, mutual experiences with loss, and a passion for philanthropy, particularly their involvement in youth mentorship programs. Their emotional depth set them apart from the rest, with Juliana opening up about her struggles with vulnerability and Grant reassuring her with steady support. Even as Litia Garr gained traction with fans and formed her own strong connection with Grant, it was Juliana who seemed to truly understand him.

In the emotional finale, Grant chose Juliana over Litia, citing their “unshakable bond” and vision for the future. Unfortunately, their engagement came to an end in June 2025. Grant shared the news on his Instagram Stories.

“This is one of the harder things I’ve had to write, but I want to share it honestly,” Grant wrote over a black and white photo of him and Juliana celebrating their engagement. “Juliana and I have decided to end our relationship.”

“We both gave this our best and poured a lot of love into each other, but after a lot of deep conversations, we’ve come to the understanding that we’re simply not the right fit long term,” he continued. “What we had was meaningful. The connection we built on the show was real, and so was the effort we made to continue once the cameras stopped rolling.”

“There’s no negativity here,” Grant wrote. “No resentment. Just two people who care about each other and want the best for one another moving forward.”

The Bachelor fans knew Grant Ellis and Juliana Pasquarosa were destined to fail. During his season, Grant noted how much he loved Juliana’s big family. However, fans think this later turned him off. Juliana spends ample time with her friends and family, and fans on Reddit noted that Juliana appears to prioritize them over her romance.

Additionally, fans noticed that Grant and Juliana barely appeared to spend time together. While Grant touted that he could work from anywhere, he and Juliana were barely seen together post-finale. Fans noticed that Grant visited Juliana just once in her hometown of Newton, Massachusetts. And during their interview with the Bachelor Happy Hour podcast, Juliana was in Boston while Grant was in Houston with plans to head to Los Angeles and Spain without her.

When asked about their joint future, the couple said they were taking their plans “in stride” with no concrete plans to move forward with their engagement. Juliana also said she wanted Grant to “repropose” to her when he felt ready to tie the knot.

Fans also found it suspicious when Juliana launched a clothing line and Grant continued to post his music, as this didn’t seem like the behavior of two people only looking for love from the show.

To top it all off, Juliana and Grant may have had differing political views. Some fans noticed that Juliana appeared to support Donald Trump.

Many fans think Litia Garr dodged a bullet

The Bachelor fans thought Grant Ellis was going to choose Litia Garr. During the finale, he told Litia that he still loved her — but he chose Juliana Pasquarosa instead. This was the first indication that Juliana and Grant were headed for trouble in the real world.

Now that Grant and Juliana have broken up, fans are running to tell Litia that she dodged a bullet. “Queen!!!! Reminding @bachelornation and the world that indeed you dodged a bullet,” one fan commented on her Instagram photo. “Your king is out there doing what he can to find you. Good luck, sis.”

“Bet he’s REALLY regretting that choice now,” another fan commented.
