It looks like Kanye West, despite being married to someone else, is not yet ready to let Kim Kardashian move on. The second his ex-wife seems to be romantically enamored with another man, he pops up to create drama. At the very least, rumors are swirling that suggest Kanye has been kicking up trouble between Kim Kardashian and her new beau, Lewis Hamilton. While there is no confirmation just yet, it isn’t a rumor that is completely out of left field. Kanye’s behavior towards Kim’s past partner, Pete Davidson, is well-documented.
Kim Kardashian and Lewis Hamilton’s relationship timeline
Kim Kardashian and Lewis Hamilton have been linked since early 2026. Reports first surfaced in January that Kim had jetted off to spend the weekend with Lewis. They were later spotted together at the Super Bowl, then vacationed together in Japan. Things have only heated up from there. While fans are thrilled and the Kardashians seem to like Hamilton, Kanye West is reportedly not thrilled.
According to insiders, West initially shrugged the whole thing off, even claiming to like Lewis. Apparently, those were only his feelings when he believed things between Kim and Lewis would peter out quickly. As the romance reportedly heats up, with Kim and Lewis making some concrete plans together, Kanye’s agitation is allegedly building.
Kanye West is reportedly campaigning against Kim and Lewis’ love story
Kanye West is rumored to be stirring up trouble for Kim Kardashian yet again. An insider told Star Magazine that Kanye has been planting negative stories in Lewis Hamilton’s ear about his ex-wife. The insider told the outlet that Kanye is threatened by Lewis Hamilton, his connection to Kim, and his success.
While there is no concrete evidence of that fact, the timing of the alleged sabotage makes a ton of sense. Lewis and Kim took their relationship ultra-public around the same time that Kanye West’s public comeback faltered. Kanye reportedly sees Lewis’ success as a threat to his own. He apparently is also bothered by the notion that Lewis used to visit with him at the home he shared with Kim, as his close personal friend.
He’s Done This Before: The Pete Davidson Saga
Sure, we don’t know for certain if Kanye West is running a smear campaign behind-the-scenes. We don’t know his actual feelings on Kim’s connection to Lewis. We do have plenty of evidence that proves he’s capable of terrorizing someone who is interested in his ex-wife, though. This is far from the first time Kanye West has allegedly weaponized his ex-wife’s love life.
When Kim began dating Pete Davidson in late 2021, West launched an immediate and relentless campaign of harassment. He took to Twitter to send out dozens of tweets about the comedian almost immediately after news of their romance broke. His 2022 song “Eazy” and its accompanying music video further targeted Davidson, depicting violent imagery and threatening lyrics. The campaign was so dark and so aggressive that Kim Kardashian even testified that she was concerned for Pete Davidson’s safety.
Davidson admitted the campaign took a toll on his mental health and is largely considered part of the reason he and Kim Kardashian split after 10 months together. While Pete was Kanye’s most public target, he’s not the only man Kanye has apparently chased away. During a Call Her Daddy interview, Kim admitted that there had been several love interests who evaporated when they learned they’d have to put up with Kanye West.
While Lewis Hamilton and Kim Kardashian appear happy together for now, it’s possible Kanye West’s impact could be felt sooner rather than later. Only time will tell.
