The Duggar family is back at it again. Over the summer, the massive family converged on Destin, Florida, for yet another Duggar family vacation. While most of the Duggar kids are now adults, they still make time once a year for a massive family outing. Well, most of them do. Jana Duggar documented the 40-person trip, but, believe it or not, that isn’t everyone in the family. There were a lot of faces missing. Can you guess who skipped the family reunion this time around?

Who missed the Duggar family’s annual vacation?

Jana Duggar spent time documenting the Duggar family vacation. She shared the footage in a YouTube video. While her footage captured most of the family, a few adult Duggars and a handful of Duggar grandchildren were excluded from the festivities. It appears, based on the photo and footage Jana shared, that Justin Duggar and his wife, Claire Spivey, passed on the big trip to Florida. Justin and Claire currently live in Texas close to her family, and seem to spend less and less time with the Duggars as the years go on. The duo, who married in 2021 when they were still teenagers, don’t yet have children and keep a low profile on social media. It is unclear why they skipped the vacation.

Jeremy and Jinger Vuolo, along with their three children, Felicity, Evangeline, and Finnigan, were also absent from the family get-together. While Jinger maintains close relationships with several of her sisters, she often skips larger family trips. They were not present at last year’s vacation either. Jeremy and Jinger live in Los Angeles, and while they invite the Duggars into their California home pretty often, their trips back to Arkansas are sporadic.

Jill and Derick Dillard were, unsurprisingly, no-shows, too. Jill’s complicated relationship with her parents has also impacted her relationship with some of her siblings. While Jill and Derick do attend some family events, they remain pretty selective with what they will attend and when. They don’t typically get involved in large family trips and opt, instead, to spend time with individual siblings. Since Jill and Derick opted out, their three sons, Israel, Samuel, and Frederick, were also not present for the reunion.

Joy-Anna Forsyth, along with her husband Austin and their three kids, were surprisingly absent. Joy generally makes time for such family outings, so seeing her missing was surprising. The same is true for Jason Duggar and his bride, Maddie Jones. Jason and Maddie, although newly married, spend a considerable amount of time with the Duggars. Still, they didn’t appear in family photos on this trip.

Last, but perhaps most telling, Anna Duggar and her seven children didn’t make the trek to Destin for the Duggar family vacation. Anna has given fans a peek into her life with her new dog breeding business, but she keeps the Duggars at arm’s length, it seems. Despite living in a home believed to have been purchased by Jim Bob, Anna rarely appears in family photographs. Neither do her children. It’s unclear why they skipped this vacation, though.

How many family members are there now?

Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar once claimed they didn’t initially intend to have a massive family; they succeeded nonetheless. With 19 children of their own, it was only a matter of time before their family ballooned in size. Sooner or later, it seems, there will be 100 Duggars running around Northwest, Arkansas. Currently, the family has 73 members, including all the sons-in-law and daughters-in-law. The number jumps to 75 if you factor in the family’s sole cousin, Amy Duggar King, and her mother, Deanna Duggar.

The Duggar family headcount is always subject to change, and it will do just that by January 2026. Both Jana Duggar and Abbie Burnett will be welcoming new babies. Abbie, who is married to Jana’s twin, John David Duggar, will be welcoming her third. Jana and Stephen Wissmann are currently awaiting the arrival of their first child after tying the knot in August 2024.
