Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck’s ‘Narrow Miss’ at the Same Building on Their Wedding Anniversary

Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck finalized their divorce in 2025. The couple reunited years after their first engagement ended and had a whirlwind romance. They nearly had a run-in at a building where they both have offices on what would have been their fourth wedding anniversary.

On August 20, 2022, Lopez and Affleck tied the knot in a ceremony at his Georgia estate. Just two years later, they ended their relationship and finalized the divorce in 2025. Four years later, on what would have been their anniversary, both Lopez and Affleck were at the building where they both have offices. 

Lopez arrived at the building while Affleck’s car was parked in the lot. He later left, looking stony-faced. It’s not clear if they saw each other while in the building.

Even two years after ending their relationship, Lopez and Affleck reportedly feel that they can’t get away from one another. Their children bonded and want to remain in each other’s lives.

“Their children keep them connected, they just can’t escape each other,” a source told The Daily Mail.

Two of their children have grown particularly close.

“Jennifer and Ben have been forced to have many conversations over this as the kids don’t like being separated,” the source said, adding, “Oskar and Fin dug in their heels and insisted they would still be best friends.”

Lopez reportedly doesn’t like having to see her ex, but is willing to put up with it for their children.

“She really doesn’t want to have to see Ben all the time,” the source said. “It is a reminder of what they lost, but she would do anything for her kids, so she sucks it up.”

They agree that they don’t work well as a couple

Lopez and Affleck reportedly began to get along better once they ended their marriage. They say that there’s no chance of them getting married again. They work better when they keep things platonic.

“There’s still a lot of love between them, but they both understand they shouldn’t be married,” a source told Us Weekly.

Lopez was reportedly in a good place after the end of her marriage.

“Jen feels more comfortable in her skin than ever,” a source said. “There’s a sense of independence and peace about her. She’s in a really good headspace right now.”
