Jennifer Lopez Feels Like a ‘Gigantic Failure’ After Relationship Woes
Jennifer Lopez has been in many high-profile relationships since she first stepped into the spotlight. Most recently, Lopez’s marriage to Ben Affleck ended in divorce. Her first husband, Ojani Noa, has spoken publicly about her sporadically over the years. She reportedly does not like this, as it reminds her of her past romantic problems.
Jennifer Lopez feels embarrassed about her failed relationships
Noa recently discussed Lopez’s relationship with Sean “Diddy” Combs. Lopez reportedly does not like her relationship with the disgraced mogul to be discussed. She also doesn’t like Noa dredging up their relationship issues. He accused her of cheating on him with Combs.
“What’s equally upsetting and hard for her to take in [after] all this is that she’s become this poster child for failed relationships,” a source told InTouch Weekly.
She said it hurts to have Noa talking about past issues as she tries to move forward from her recent divorce.
“It’s been one gigantic disappointment after another her whole life and whenever she’s picking herself up and ready to try again there’s someone – in this case her first husband – putting the boot in and essentially reminding everyone what a giant failure she is,” the source said. “She’s so sick of it and wondering if all the bad luck and embarrassment will ever end.”
She once spoke about facing difficulties in her romances
Lopez has acknowledged that she makes mistakes in love. She admitted to making poor choices in her romantic partners.
“I wasn’t in touch with who I was, what I wanted, what I deserved, what I needed,” she told Vanity Fair in 2011. “It was more about the other person for me, and that’s where I made my mistakes. It wasn’t even their fault; it was me. I needed to get to where I could say I know what I want, I know what I need, I can’t let you do this, I can’t let this happen, I can’t let that happen.”
She said that she never doubted her own self-worth.
“Even when I felt bad about myself, I always tried to keep in my mind — I’m worth more than this, I’m better than this, I’m doing something that’s not right for myself,” she said. “You deserve better, all the things you have to tell yourself to get through a tough time.”

Noa has been candid with his thoughts about his ex-wife. He said he had major doubts about her marriage to Ben Affleck.
“I wish her and Ben the best, but I’m not convinced it will last,” he told the Daily Mail in 2022. “Jen loves being in love but she’s been engaged six times. Ben is husband number four. I was husband number one and she told me I was the love of her life. When we lay in bed on our wedding night, she said we would be together forever.”
He doesn’t think she’ll ever settle down with one person for good.
“I think she’s someone who will be married seven or eight times,” he said. “I can’t see her ever settling down with one person. She pushes herself to constantly go forward in her professional life, which is why she’s had a three-decade career, but she also moves on in her private life.”
