Jessa Seewald Finally Reveals Baby #6’s Gender, Still Withholds the Name
Jessa Seewald is skating on thin ice with Duggar family followers. She has now stretched her birth story into three separate YouTube videos, but has yet to reveal the baby’s name. Presumably, that will come in a fourth video. Still, Jessa Seewald has provided some additional information, like baby #6’s gender and the names they are considering.
Jessa Seewald reveals baby #6 is a boy
Jessa Seewald is giving fans trickles of information in each of her birth story videos. In part 2, she revealed her sister cut the umbilical cord this time around, as Ben Seewald has a “weak” stomach. She also shared the baby’s birthday (July 26) and weight (10 pounds). Now, in part 3, she revealed that her sixth child is a baby boy. Followers weren’t surprised. They assumed that the baby was a boy, based on how they discussed him during part 2.
Jessa and her husband, Ben Seewald, were aware of the baby’s gender before his birth. Jinger and Jeremy Vuolo were also informed of the gender ahead of the baby’s arrival. The couple opted to keep the baby’s gender secret from everyone else. Jessa and Jinger, who were born just 13 months apart, have remained close despite the distance between them. Jessa revealed the gender of Jinger and Jeremy’s third child by sending them an outfit in the mail.
What could they possibly name baby #6
Jessa and Ben Seewald have struggled in the past to name their children. It has taken them a bit of time to come up with a few names, and that’s what Jessa claims happened this time around. As she closed out part three of her birth story, she did drop a few name ideas. Ben explained their interest in possibly naming their son Edward, Owen, or Calvin. All have a religious connection, the pastor explained. As for middle names, they, as usual, had one more unusual option. Patrick was the most common middle name option, while Athanasius was their more unusual choice.
Ben and Jessa have made a couple of surprising name choices over the years, but none are stranger than their first son’s name. In 2015, the couple welcomed Spurgeon Elliot Seewald. While Spurgeon is a tribute name, almost everyone agrees it should have been a middle name. Jessa Briefly tried to get her family to call him by his middle name, but it didn’t stick. The second time around, the couple put the more unusual name in the middle. Henry Wilberforce Seewald was born in 2017. They are also parents to Ivy Jane Seewald, Fern Elliana Seewald, and George Augstine Seewald. They were born in 2019, 2021, and 2023, respectively.
