Jinger Vuolo and Joy-Anna Forsyth Announce New Podcast; Jeremy Steps Away
Jinger Vuolo is making a big change to how she works. The mother of three and former Counting On star is switching up her podcasting lineup, dropping her husband, Jeremy Vuolo, in favor of her younger sister, Joy-Anna Forsyth. Jinger announced the podcasting change, complete with a new name, earlier this week. She insists there is a very good reason for the rebranding.
Jinger Vuolo’s podcast is changing directions
Jinger Vuolo took to Instagram this week to announce a very big change to her podcasting career. In a video posted to the show’s now-updated Instagram page, Jinger revealed that Jeremy would be stepping away from his on-camera role, and Joy-Anna would be stepping in to take his place.
Joy-Anna had plenty to say about the change, too. According to Joy-Anna, the idea originated with Jinger during one of their long, regular phone calls. “It’s been a while of just talking, planning, figuring out logistics, but it’s happening,” Joy-Anna said. Joy and Jinger both said Jeremy was instrumental in helping it all come together, even as he moves on to other projects.
In the weeks leading up to the official rebrand announcement, Joy-Anna had been appearing as a regular guest host in Jeremy’s place. Their episodes have mixed lighter topics with more serious issues, like the legal drama that has surrounded their family. The podcast’s YouTube page has also been updated. Jeremy’s name has been removed from the channel and replaced with their new “Call Your Sister” branding.
Listeners aren’t totally surprised
While Jinger insists the change is largely due to Jeremy’s changing professional life, Duggar family followers think she might have caved to persistent criticism. Since the pair launched the podcast several years ago, listeners have complained about the dynamic. They have noted that Jeremy is prone to dominating the conversation, even when it is about topics Jinger understands more intimately than he does, given her lived experience.
Episodes that have included Joy-Anna or other members of the Duggar family appear to have performed substantially better than episodes that were purely Jeremy and Jinger talking to each other. Some critics note that the shift might be purely a business move to ensure the continued success of the project, or an attempt to appeal to a larger audience so the project can grow.
Does Jeremy have a job outside of content creation?
While Jinger Vuolo and Joy-Anna Forsyth have both worked as influencers in recent years, neither holds down a job outside the home. For years, Jeremy appeared to be busy with both school and the podcast. The new “season” Jinger has ushered in with her announcement isn’t just a change to the podcast dynamic. Jeremy appears to be working separately from his wife’s content creation career, too.
According to The Master’s University, Jeremy is currently employed as the Director of Athletics and the campus pastor at their California campus. Jinger and Jeremy moved their family to California in 2019 specifically so Jeremy could attend the University. They have since put down roots, purchased a home, and welcomed two more children.
