Joan Vassos, Other Bachelor Nation Stars to Compete in ‘Bachelor Mansion Takeover’ — Get All the Details
Joan Vassos is headed back to the Bachelor Mansion. But this time, she’s not looking for love. Instead, The Golden Bachelorette alum is joining 11 other Bachelor Nation personalities in HGTV’s newest design competition series.
“Honored to be part of this cast and can’t wait for you to all that went down,” Vassos wrote on Instagram after her casting was announced.
Bachelor Mansion Takeover will see a dozen former cast members from various Bachelor shows put their design and renovation skills to the test as they transform iconic Bachelor Mansion spaces.
Who is part of the ‘Bachelor Mansion Takeover’ cast?
In addition to Vassos, who appeared on The Golden Bachelorette and went on to become the first Golden Bachelorette, Bachelor Mansion Takeover will feature:
- Dean Bell from The Bachelorette, Bachelor in Paradise, and Bachelor Winter Games
- Jill Chin from The Bachelor and Bachelor in Paradise
- Noah Erb from The Bachelorette and Bachelor in Paradise
- Allyshia Gupta from The Bachelor and Bachelor in Paradise
- Tammy Ly The Bachelor and Bachelor in Paradise
- Sandra Mason from The Golden Bachelor
- Sam McKinney from The Bachelorette and Bachelor in Paradise

In addition to their Bachelor Nation bona fides, many of the Bachelor Nation Takeover contestants have experience in home design, renovation, and real estate. Stallworth is a contractor, Gupta is an interior designer, and Ly is a real estate agent. Chin is an architectural historian and Morais has worked as a commercial roofer.
Who is judging ‘Bachelor Mansion Takeover’?

Over six episodes, the Bachelor Mansion Takeover contestants will put their design and renovation skills to the test in weekly elimination challenges that require them to transform Bachelor Mansion spaces. In episode 1, they’ll be tasked with refreshing the mansion’s tired bunk rooms. Other weekly elimination challenges will focus on the rose room, the pool area, the mixer room, the terrace, and the kitchen.
In each episode, the competitors will take bold design risks, form alliances, and face shocking eliminations. Judging their efforts will be Tayshia Adams and Tyler Cameron. For each judging, the pair will also be joined by a surprise guest judge from Bachelor Nation or the HGTV family, including Hannah Brown, interior designer Nate Berkus, actress and Bachelor fan Rachel Bilson, former Bachelorette JoJo Fletcher, HGTV host and designer Christina Haack and former Bachelor Sean Lowe.
The winner goes home with bragging rights and $100,000.
“For the first time ever we’re pulling back the curtain and revealing the mansion as you’ve never seen it before,” said Jesse Palmer, who is hosting the show. “Our 12 contestants have already lived through the twists and turns of The Bachelor franchise. They know this is not going to be easy. And the clock is ticking because this renovation has to be finished before a new season of The Bachelorette begins.”
