Julia Fox Describes Crying Into Beyoncé’s Neck During Unexpected Moment
Julia Fox once again turned heads during Oscars weekend in 2026. The Uncut Gems star arrived at the Vanity Fair Oscar party in a dramatic black-and-white couture look by Viktor & Rolf, featuring exaggerated, sculptural straps and bold floral detailing. While fans adored her look, it’s her story after the Oscars about meeting Beyoncé that has everyone talking. Here’s what she said about locking eyes with the Cowboy Carter singer and crying.
Julia Fox described the surreal moment of meeting Beyoncé after the 2026 Oscars
Julia Fox is known for her quirky nature and candid stories. In March 2026, she took to TikTok to share her tale of what happened to her after the night of the Oscars — and retelling the story gave her “full body chills.” Fox noted that her story was “so crazy” that she nearly didn’t tell it to her followers, as she wasn’t certain that others would believe her.
Fox then went into the story, which begins at the star-studded post-Academy Awards gathering at the ultra-exclusive Chateau Marmont.
“We’re tired,” she said. “We’re like, let’s just go — whatever.”
Fox explained how she was walking out of the back of the Chateau when a security guard approached her and asked her to step aside. She did as she was told. “Then, we’re waiting,” Fox continued. “I see a bunch of people moving toward us, and they’re all surrounding somebody in the middle. And I’m like, ‘Oh, that has to be somebody.’ Like, who is it? And then I see the hair, and I’m like … is that Beyoncé?”
The actress said she doubted herself at first, unclear whether it was really Beyoncé in front of her. However, she then saw it was Beyoncé.
“So, she walks by. I’m like, already sweaty, hands are sweating, heart palpitations, and then she stops right in front of me, and we lock eyes, and she goes, ‘It’s you!’ And I was like, ‘It’s you!’ And then I’m like, freaking out,” Fox admitted. “I kind of black out during this. My friends told me that I was having a semi-panic attack and that I was like, ‘Is this real? Is this really happening?'”
Finally, Beyoncé tells Fox that she loves her and asks the actress for a hug. “I gave her a hug, and then I cried into the nape of her neck,” Fox continued. “And then Miss Tina took a photo of us.”
Fox said she and her friends talked about the encounter the entire night into the next morning.
“Beyoncé said she loved me and she asked me for a hug, you guys,” Fox said, adding that she doesn’t care what others think of her because the singer loves her.
