Justine and Michael Tour ‘Insane’ Wedding Venue in Next ‘Life After Lockup’ [Exclusive Clip]
Life After Lockup stars Justine and Michael want a redo of their modest courthouse wedding. But do they have the budget for their dream day?
Earlier this season, Justine stunned Michael when she told him that she expected their wedding to cost upwards of $60,000. Now, the couple is touring venues, and Michael’s dad seem to be on his daughter-in-law’s side when it comes to budget, suggesting a glam spot that might be too expensive for his son’s more modest tastes.
Michael’s dad doesn’t have Waffle House taste, his son says
In this exclusive clip from the September 19 episode of We TV’s Life After Lockup, Michael explains that his dad enjoys the finer things in life.
“I’m very close to my dad,” Michael explains. “But he’s also…My dad’s bougie. My dad likes – listen man, my dad won’t eat at a Waffle House. I’m just gonna put it that way.”
“This is a venue that my dad picked out,” he continues. “So I know that this is going to be expensive.”

Michael, Justine, Michael dad, and Michael’s sister meet with the venue’s event planner, Joseph, who says that he wants to take them to “the penthouse level.”
“That just sounds expensive,” Michael replies.
Michael might be seeing dollar signs as the group climbs the venue’s sweeping staircase. But Justine is clearly impressed.
“This is really pretty,” Justine says.
Her husband can’t deny that the location is jaw-dropping.
“This is insane,” he says as the planner shows them the lavish banquet hall, which features tons of mirrors, a massive chandelier, and a pair of thrones for the bride and groom.
As the rest of the group oohs and aahs, Michael quickly cuts to the chase.
“What is it like? Is it per person?” he asks.
Joseph explains that the venue charges per plate. But he doesn’t mention a specific number. However, Michael can tell that it won’t be cheap.
“You look scared,” Justine tells her husband as they try out the thrones.
“No,” he replies with a nervous smile. “It looks really nice.”
