Kanye ‘Ye’ West’s Doctor Advises ‘Against His Travel’ Until Treatment Concludes in May 2025
Kanye “Ye” West is currently residing in a wellness retreat in Mallorca, Spain, accompanied by his wife, Bianca Censori. The couple has been staying at a secluded villa where West is reportedly undergoing treatment for an unspecified medical condition. This retreat follows a period of public controversy and legal challenges for the rapper, including a missed deposition in an ongoing legal dispute. In May 2025, West’s doctor wrote a note advising that West stay in Mallorca to continue his treatment. Here’s what the note reads.
Kanye ‘Ye’ West’s doctor says West should continue to stay in Spain to receive treatment
Kanye “Ye” West and Bianca Censori appear to enjoy their time in Spain. The media spotted them out to dinner and on private outings, suggesting a focus on personal well-being and relationship strengthening. Additionally, West is seeking treatment “to aid his mental health,” according to In Touch Weekly.
In 2024, Benjamin Deshon Provo, a former security guard at Kanye West’s Donda Academy and Yeezy warehouse, filed a lawsuit against West. Provo alleged racial discrimination, wrongful termination, and labor code violations. He seeks damages and an injunction to prevent West from operating educational institutions for minors in California. Provo’s team ordered West’s deposition in person in 2025. But the rapper’s doctor advised that he do the deposition virtually to continue treatment.
“I am writing to you today as Ye’s primary physician located in Los Angeles, California,” West’s primary doctor at the facility wrote on May 19, 2025. “Patient is currently under my medical care, and has been my patient for the past nine years. As his primary physician, I strongly recommend against his travel from his current medical treatment retreat in Mallorca, Spain, to Los Angeles, USA, until his treatment schedule is completed at the end of May 2025. I recommend that any accommodations be made that can be facilitated for his deposition so as to not interrupt his necessary medical treatment schedule.”
Provo’s lawyers argued against the accommodation. A judge has yet to rule on whether West’s doctor’s note stands.
