Kate Middleton Is ‘The Star of the Show’ as Sultan of Oman Arrives in Windsor
On the same day the royals welcomed the Sultan of Oman to Windsor for a historic State Visit, Prince Harry decided to try and steal the headlines by commenting on his relationship with his father and his brother. However, the working royals would not be deterred and made sure their family “star” shined.
The Princess of Wales (formerly known as Kate Middleton) was on hand alongside Prince William, King Charles III, and Queen Camilla to welcome His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik with a grand ceremony at Windsor Castle.
Princess Kate wore a deep green coat by Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen and completed her look with a hat by Juliette Botterill. Now, an expert is explaining that although she was the “star of the show,” Kate used her warm and confident body language to please everyone.

Speaking on behalf of Betfair Casino, Stanton told Showbiz Cheat Sheet, “What really stands out is just how composed and confident Kate appears throughout the engagement. Her posture remains very upright, her movements smooth, and her blink rate remains consistent. She is the image of confidence and calm. This is particularly interesting because she uses her ability to project this aura of confidence to put people at ease and help everything run smoothly.
“We see her chatting and sharing a laugh with one of the uniformed men, which is a lovely example of how she uses her body language to break down some of the formality of the occasion. Rather than remaining distant or overly reserved, she makes a conscious effort to engage with the people around her. And that warmth comes across very naturally through her open-palm gestures and active listening.”
Stanton continued, “She is an excellent communicator, and her body language rarely gives the impression that she feels rattled or uncomfortable. Her facial expressions are generally very controlled and composed but when she does smile, it tends to involve her whole face, giving the impression of a warm and genuine response rather than something overly performative.
“That ability to read a situation is a real strength of Catherine’s. She understands that while this is a very formal state occasion. There are people there who may feel a little nervous or intimidated by the setting. By taking the time to chat with the soldiers and share a laugh, she subtly helps to put them at ease. It is a small gesture, but these are the sorts of things that make a real difference to how an engagement feels.”
The expert added, “She is able to maintain the authority and composure expected of her position while still coming across as approachable and personable. That is not always an easy balance to strike, but Catherine manages it exceptionally well. This was a good example of how you can be the star of the show without having to take center stage.
“She does not need to dominate the interaction or draw attention to herself; instead, she uses her warmth, confidence, and ability to read people to make everyone around her feel comfortable. That is what makes her such an effective communicator, and her body language will have helped the whole engagement run smoothly. She manages to stand out for all the right reasons, simply by making other people feel at ease.”
