Keanu Reeves is reacting to rumors that he and longtime girlfriend Alexandra Grant have tied the knot.

“Well, that wasn’t the first time,” Keanu told E! News at the October 13 premiere of his new movie Good Fortune in New York City. “We’ve been going out for a long time.”

“The wedding, it’s a nice thing,” he continued, speaking of reports that he and grant had tied the knot in Europe over the summer. “People did a lot of nice messages and stuff, but Alexandra just did a wonderful [job] addressing. Like, ‘Thank you, but here’s the reality.’”

Keanu Reeves’ Girlfriend Alexandra Grant Raves About His Broadway Debut

A few weeks ago, Grant playfully shut down reports that she’d wed the John Wick star.

“This is a real photo,” she wrote on Instagram alongside a picture of the pair kissing at an art installation. “Not an engagement photo or an AI wedding announcement… simply a kiss!”

“I’m sharing it here to say thank you to everyone for the congratulations on our wedding,” the visual artist continued. “Except we didn’t get married. Good news is much needed these days, but it’s still fake news, so be careful out there! So, here’s a bit of real happiness!”

Keanu Reeves said he felt ‘bliss’ with Alexandra Grant

Grant and Reeves’ romance first made headlines in 2019, when they attended the LACMA Art + Film Gala together. They had reportedly been dating for several years at that point.

While the couple don’t often speak publicly about their relationship, Grant is one of Reeves’ biggest champions. In September, she raved about her boyfriend’s latest project – a Broadway revival of Waiting for Godot with his Bill & Ted co-star Alex Winter.

“To Keanu – who is not on social media, and with whom I’ll share this later – your hard work and dedication to trying something new and brave is so inspiring, artist to artist,” she wrote on Instagram. “Your Estragon is unlike any I’ve seen before – like a boy at times, and then raging like a man when A Boy arrives. Your Estragon is funny, lonely, pensive, philosophical and shares your ability to sleep anywhere, at any time! So honored to go on this creative journey with you!”

Meanwhile, Reeves got mushy about Grant in a 2023 interview.

“A couple of days ago with my honey,” the actor replied when People asked about the last time he’d experienced bliss. “We were in bed. We were connected. We were smiling and laughing and giggling. Feeling great. It was just really nice to be together.”
