Kelly Osbourne Slammed Speculation About Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne’s Death Pact

Kelly paid tribute to Ozzy by sharing lyrics from Black Sabbath’s 1972 song “Changes” in a post on her Instagram Story.

“I feel unhappy I am so sad,” Kelly, 40, wrote. “I lost the best friend I ever had”

Kelly and her father recorded a version of that song together as a duet in 2003. It reached No. 1 on the U.K. charts.

Ozzy died on Tuesday at age 76.

“It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning. He was with his family and surrounded by love,” his family shared in a statement that was signed by Kelly, her mother Sharon Osbourne, and her siblings Jack, Aimee, and Louis. “We ask everyone to respect our family privacy at this time.”

Kelly and her brother Jack became reality TV stars in the early 2000s, along with their parents, thanks to their MTV reality series, The Osbournes.

Just a few weeks before his death, Ozzy was present when Kelly got engaged at what would be his final concert with Black Sabbath. Her partner, Slipknot DJ Sid Wilson, popped the question as her dad, mom, and brother looked on.

“I think this picture says it all!” she captioned the photo on Instagram

In a video of moment, Ozzy joked that he didn’t approve of the match.

“F*ck off, you’re not marrying my daughter,” he said, as the crowed laughed.

Kelly said she was ‘so proud’ of her dad

Kelly spoke about her relationship with her dad and his battle with Parkinson’s disease in a 2024 interview with Us Weekly

“I love my dad more than anything in the world,” the Dancing With the Stars alum said. “And I’m so proud of him and everything that he is facing and all the challenges that come his way, and how he just seems to get through it every single time. There’s no one like him. He truly is an Iron Man.”

At the same time, Kelly admitted that watching her parents get older was difficult.

“All of a sudden, you realize, “Oh, they’re fragile, and they’re a little lost and now it’s my job to show them the way,” she said. “My biggest fear is losing a member of my family, because we are so close that we are nothing without the other.”
