Joseph Duggar, 31, who appeared on TLC’s 19 Kids and Counting, was arrested on March 18, 2026, in Washington County, Arkansas, on charges of child molestation and lewd and lascivious behavior involving a minor, according to the Associated Press. Authorities allege the charges stem from an incident during a 2020 family vacation in Panama City Beach, Florida, when a then‑9‑year‑old girl reported inappropriate contact. He is currently being held in custody and is expected to be extradited to Florida to face formal charges.
Kendra Duggar, 27, has yet to speak out about Joseph’s arrest. On March 20, 2026, Us Weekly reported that she and Joseph now face four counts of endangering the welfare of a minor in the second degree and four counts of false imprisonment in the second degree.
The couple shares four children. In the past, they shared their relationship journey on TLC’s Counting On, which featured Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar’s huge family after 19 Kids and Counting‘s cancellation.
In Counting On Season 3, Joseph shared that he and Kendra had been talking for about six months before their first date. They then began their courtship in March 2017.
“Our plan is to go to the car auction and use this as a decoy so she won’t catch on to what we’re actually planning on doing,” Joseph said before courting Kendra, according to RadarOnline. “Once we’re finished up with the auction, I’m going to take her to the house where I was actually born. It’s kind of on the way home, and then I’ll pop the question to her and ask her if she’ll start a courtship with me.”

Joseph and Kendra Duggar spoke to People about married life. The couple tied the knot in September 2017 and were expecting their first child by December of that same year.
“It is an amazing feeling to be husband and wife,” Joseph told People. “It’s something that I’ve always dreamed of to have a wife and to raise a family in a way that honors the lord. We are so very excited to see what God has in the future for us.”
Kendra also named her favorite aspect of marriage. “One of the most enjoyable things about being married to Joe is just being together so much,” she said. “I can hug him, kiss him, talk with, and be with him all the time. Being with your best friend makes marriage amazing. Here in Greece, we’re looking forward to having dinner in the sky, walking through the market, making sandals, going parasailing, and paddleboarding!”
While the couple frequently posted about their family on social media, they stopped posting in 2021. According to People, their last post shared by their joint Instagram account was to celebrate their daughter’s second birthday.

Josh Duggar is serving a 12-year prison sentence for possessing child sexual abuse material. His attorney told the Daily Mail that Josh feels “deeply saddened” by the accusations against Joseph Duggar.
“Josh understands the stigma of being accused,” his attorney said. “He lives with the painful reality of how false accusations can destroy a life. He understands how the targeting of a person for publicity can twist the truth into sensationalized fiction.”
According to the attorney, Josh and Joseph are “not in frequent communication.” However, Josh “hopes and prays for his brother’s well-being in this difficult time.”
