Kevin Bacon gifts Kyra Sedgwick with the cutest birthday gift
Kyra Sedgwick is ringing in her sixth decade with two new companions. Her longtime husband marked the milestone birthday with two mini cows. Bacon showed off the adorable creatures on Instagram before bringing Sedgwick out to check out her new friends. She was just as thrilled to meet the cows, Tater and Tot, as Bacon was to give them to her. It looks like they’ll have a very lovely life on the couple’s 40-acre farm.
Miniature cows have gained popularity in recent years, likely due to social media. Before social media, they were popular among hobby farmers due to their small size and bright personalities. Most mini cows stand 36–48 inches tall at the shoulder when fully grown. They typically weigh 500–800 pounds, depending on the breed, which is roughly half the weight of a standard dairy cow. Bacon did not reveal what breed of cow he purchased for his partner, but Miniature Herefords are popular in the United States.
How long have the duo been married?
For some people, it’s true what they say; when you know, you know. Kevin Bacon and Kyra Sedgwick met on the set of Lemon Sky in 1987. They were engaged before the movie premiered. Bacon popped the question on Christmas Eve. In 1988, they got married, and they welcomed their first child, Travis Bacon, the following year. In 1992, their daughter Sosie was born. They have been married for 37 years and appear just as in love now as they did in the 1980s.
While Bacon and Sedgwick have maintained careers in Hollywood, they made a decision that many successful Hollywood couples make. They moved out of California and maintained their family life in a completely different location. The couple moved from California to Connecticut in the 1990s. They raised their children on a 40-acre farm in Sharon, Connecticut, a small town nestled in the northwest corner of the state.
