Khloé Kardashian Reacts to Lamar Odom’s Documentary Comments — and She’s Not Happy
The 2026 Netflix documentary Untold: The Death & Life of Lamar Odom offers a raw, deeply personal look at the rise and fall of former NBA star Lamar Odom. The film traces his journey from championship success to the near-fatal 2015 overdose that left him in a coma. And it doesn’t shy away from the darkest chapters of his life, weaving in candid interviews from Odom, his family, and notably Khloé Kardashian, who plays a significant role in recounting their turbulent marriage. Now, Kardashian is reflecting on how she feels about Odom’s comments following the documentary. Here’s what she said.
Khloé Kardashian expressed frustration with ‘Untold: The Death & Life of Lamar Odom’
Khloé Kardashian offered a candid glimpse into her short-lived marriage to NBA star Lamar Odom in Untold: The Death & Life of Lamar Odom. The two tied the knot in 2009, just a few weeks after meeting. Their romance played out publicly on reality TV. However, behind the scenes, the couple experienced struggles tied to Odom’s substance abuse and infidelity. Ultimately, Kardashian filed for divorce in 2013. The situation took a dramatic turn in 2015 when Odom suffered a near-fatal overdose at a Nevada brothel, leaving him in a coma. Despite their separation, Kardashian paused the divorce proceedings to help manage his medical care and support his recovery.
In the documentary, Kardashian reflects on the trauma of living through his addiction and the responsibility she took on during his medical crisis. Now that time has passed since the Netflix documentary was released, she’s able to reflect on her frustrations with Odom’s narrative.
“I think what’s pissing me off is we did this all good. I was done with this,” Kardashian shared while speaking to Malika Haqq on her Khloé in Wonder Land podcast. “I’m like, ‘I’m never gonna do another Lamar thing again,’ ’cause I’m all good. But now, Lamar is doing press, annoyed with me, claiming, or insinuating, that I’m a liar — all these things — discrediting me, saying that I wasn’t the one that helped him.”
“I think for years, he was singing my praises,” Kardashian continued. “… You’re not now gonna s*** on me or now play in my face because you don’t like the reaction and the response from ‘the public.'”
Kardashian noted that if Odom has frustrations over the editing of his documentary, it’s not her problem to solve. “For this, I was asked by Lamar to do this documentary,” she said. “I did it for him. His team — whoever provided those questions to the producer — had to be someone who knew these things. … So, I answered the questions. And then I said when I left, ‘Well, Lamar can take out anything he doesn’t like,’ ’cause I don’t care. Take out what you don’t want in there. That’s your choice. This is your show.”
Kardashian added that she feels “beyond done” with Odom.
The former NBA player said his reunion with his ex for the documentary wasn’t ‘good’ for him
In April 2026, Lamar Odom spoke about the documentary on TODAY with Jenna Bush Hager and Sheinelle Jones. He revealed how his interactions with Khloé Kardashian felt “awkward.”
“It was awkward, and it wasn’t really good for me,” Odom told the Today hosts. “But, you know, once you family, you’re always family, so she ain’t going nowhere.” He also noted that he still “has love” for Kardashian, but certainly isn’t in love with her anymore.
Odom was also asked whether he believes Kardashian helped save his life. He responded, “in some ways.” However, he credits God the most.
“She took care of me,” Odom said, “but God took care of me the most, and what I came back from was, like, a medical miracle.”
