Kim Kardashian and Kanye “Ye” West’s eldest daughter, North West, continues to make waves on social media. Initially, Kim allowed her daughter to have a TikTok with her as a co-creator. However, more recently, North created her own Instagram with oversight from her parents to feature her fashion and music moments. While fans love to see what the next generation of Kardashian kids are up to, Khloé Kardashian recently made it known that she doesn’t want her kids on social media until they’re well into their teen years. Here’s what she said.

Khloé Kardashian doesn’t want her kids on social media until they’re in their late teens

Khloé Kardashian is protective of her kids, True Thompson, 7, and Tatum Thompson, 3. While she posts photos of them on social media, she doesn’t want them having social media accounts of their own.

“They should not be on social media, in my opinion,” Khloé shared on her podcast, Khloé in Wonder Land, in February 2026 . “They don’t need to know about the internet.”

Khloé explained that when True says she “wants to film a TikTok,” the child thinks it simply means a dancing video, as they don’t know what the social media platform is. “So, we’ll just film dancing,” the mom of two said.

“They’re not on TikTok,” she continued. “They’re not scrolling through things.”

Khloé said she’d discuss her daughter having a phone when True turns 12. “That doesn’t mean she’ll get social media,” she clarified. “That means she gets a phone. I don’t think kids should have social media until, I mean, I would love 16, 17. But, a phone we’re discussing on her 12th birthday.”

Khloé didn’t mention North West’s social media usage outright on the podcast. However, given her stance, it seems her children won’t have TikTok or Instagram accounts at North’s age.

Kim Kardashian allows North West to have social media at 12 years old. And North and Kim had a joint TikTok account as far back as 2021, when North was just 8. Kim spoke out about how she allows North to express herself online, but she still maintains strict rules for her eldest daughter.

“I think the one misconception that people might have is like, ‘Oh, she’s trying to be her bestie and lets her get away with a lot,'” Kim said on the Jan. 21 episode of Khloé Kardashian’s podcast. “Like, no. North actually has a lot of rules. The one area is I do let her express herself, and I do let her do that. And I love her for it.”

Kim noted that she has even stricter rules for her two youngest kids, Chicago, 7, and Psalm, 6.

“My older two kids have devices, my two little kids don’t,” she said. “It’s interesting — your first kid, your first two kids, they’re like growing up with you. We’re figuring it all out together. And then you learn, and you realize you want to maybe do things differently.”

Kim added that she “wouldn’t change anything” regarding how she raises her children. “I have such a great relationship with my kids,” she continued. “They love me, they respect me, they’re great.”

Khloé Kardashian said her kids have no idea that she’s famous

Khloé Kardashian is a public figure who’s known for her reality TV presence. However, she doesn’t put her entire life online. While speaking on her podcast in February 2026, she explained how she maintains a lot of privacy, especially online.

“I have tons of privacy when it comes to social media,” she said. “I’m not someone that even feels comfortable vlogging my whole day. It’s just not what I’m used to. So, it’s not the first thing that I do. So much of it I don’t post. There are a lot of intimate moments that I’m not posting or projecting out there. But, the fun, cute ones I like to put out there.”

Additionally, her kids don’t know that she’s famous. “I don’t talk about being famous,” she continued. “It’s not ever something we talk about.” Khloé also noted that cameras have been around her children since they were born. With this in mind, they don’t pay much attention to paparazzi taking photographs of them. “That’s the norm,” she said. “They’re not questioning it.”
