Kim Kardashian Admits She Was ‘A Bit Dramatic’ During This Scary ‘KUWTK’ Moment
Kim Kardashian is looking back at a not-so-pleasant memory from Keeping Up With the Kardashians.
On Tuesday, the SKIMS mogul took to her Instagram Story to share a post about a“terrifying” 2015 car accident she and her sisters Kylie Jenner and Khloé Kardashian were involved in.
At the time, the incident was truly frightening. But 10 years on, Kim is able to look back on the moment with a more light-hearted attitude.
Kim Kardashian calls sister Khloé a ‘bomb driver’
On October 7, Kim reposted the clip from the 2015 episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians. She added a bit of commentary about the accident, which was scary but did not result in any injuries.
“10 years of knowing @khloekardashian is a bomb driver!!!!” she wrote. “And I’m a bit dramatic.”
Kim was noticeably less calm when the accident actually happened. The incident occurred when the KarJenners were heading back to California after a ski trip to Montana. Kim was on edge because she needed to be back home to attend a fertility appointment and the rest of the family was running behind schedule.
Khloé agreed to drive the agitated Kim, Kim’s daughter North West, and their sister Kylie to the airport, with the rest of the family to follow. But as the Twisted Sisters host navigated down the snowy road, things took an alarming turn.
“It is really snowing,” Khloé said as she and Kylie discussed Caitlyn Jenner’s plans to build a stable on her Malibu property. Then, the SUV began to skid.
“Oh, we’re sliding. Khloé! Khloé!” a panicked Kim cried as her sister tried to get control of the car.
“It’s not my fault, it’s not my fault,” Khloé said.
“Oh my God, I don’t have my seatbelt on,” Kim said. “Holy sh*t!”
Fortunately, the nerve-wracking incident didn’t cause any lasting damage. According to a report from ABC News, Khloé apparently lost control of the vehicle on the icy road after another vehicle kicked up snow, causing the GMC Yukon to slide into a ditch on the highway between Bozeman and Belgrade, Montana. Kim and the rest of the family walked away unscathed, much to their relief.
“Thank you God for watching over us and keeping us safe,” Kim tweeted after the accident.
The Kardashians have been involved in several other car accidents
The Montana crash is just one of several car accidents involving members of the Kardashian-Jenner family.
In 2016, momager Kris Jenner was in an accident in Calabasas, California. She was driving her new Rolls-Royce when a Toyota Prius cut in front of her as it attempted to get on the highway. Her car was seriously damaged and she suffered a broken wrist, according to Yahoo!
Kris’ ex Caitlyn Jenner was involved in a fatal Malibu car accident in 2015 that led to the death of 70-year-old Kim Howe. She was not criminally charged after investigators determined she was not at fault. But she did pay $800,000 to a family that was also involved in the multi-car pileup.
In 2022, Kourtney Kardashian’s ex Scott Disick flipped his Lamborghini SUV. He was not seriously injured in the accident.
