Kim Kardashian Clarifies Details About Kris Jenner and Meghan Markle Relationship
The Kardashian‑Jenner family’s public relationship with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle continues to make headlines. In November 2025, the royal couple attended Kris Jenner’s 70th birthday party, mingling with Hollywood’s A‑listers. However, fans noticed how photos showing Meghan and Harry posing with Jenner and Kim were initially shared on Instagram but were quickly deleted. In January 2026, Kim addressed the controversy on Khloé Kardashian’s podcast. And she clarified how her mother and Meghan feel about each other. Here’s what she said.
Kim Kardashian verified that Kris Jenner and Meghan Markle ‘have a really sweet relationship’ amid photo removal controversy
In November 2025, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were photographed with Kim Kardashian and Kris Jenner at Jenner’s lavish 70th birthday celebration in Beverly Hills. However, fans noticed that those images were soon deleted from social media. This sparked widespread speculation about the motives behind the removal.
Kim clarified the situation while speaking to sister Khloé Kardashian on the Khloé in Wonderland podcast in January 2026. She called the photo removal “really innocent,” making the controversy seem “crazy.”
“Mom and Meghan have been friends for some years now, and they have a really sweet relationship,” Kim noted, referring to Jenner.
Kim noted that she and Jenner “never” post photos of their friends without explicit permission, and they originally told that they could freely post photos of Harry and Meghan. However, the royal couple appeared to change their mind later due to the UK holiday of Remembrance Day — a day dedicated to honoring members of the armed forces who died while serving.
“I think they realized it was Remembrance Day,” Kim said on the podcast. “And they didn’t want to be seen at a party, even though it’s already up, you know, and then taken down. And then I think they realized, like, ‘Oh, this was so silly.'”
Kim noted that photos of the couple “partying and dancing” might appear in poor taste. “So, we took them down,” she added, “to respect Remembrance Day.”
Overall, Kim said that the controversy over the photos was completely overblown. And it had nothing to do with Jenner and Meghan’s personal relationship. Kim said she “hated” how the public perceived the photo removal. “It was just made into something that was so crazy and ridiculous that just didn’t have to be.”
