Kim Kardashian and Kanye West Are on the Verge of a Lawsuit Over How to Parent North West
Years after their split, Kim Kardashian and Ye, the artist formerly known as Kanye West, are at odds over how to parent North West. Ye recently threatened to sue his former wife over North’s style. Meanwhile, Kardashian reportedly feels that Ye is doing nothing to enforce rules about social media.

Ye recently got on Instagram Live because he said he was “tired of pretending everything is fine” in his co-parenting relationship with Kardashian.
“You refuse to settle down,” he said. “You’re still living like the cameras are the most important thing in the house. The kids need a home that feels like a home, not another set. You’re always moving, always filming, always building the next thing. That’s not settling. That’s running.”
He accused her of relying too heavily on nannies.
“You depend on nannies more than you depend on being their mother every day,” he said. “I see it. The kids know it. You have people raising them while you do whatever you do. I’m not saying nannies are bad. I’m saying you use them so you don’t have to change how you live.”

Ye also complained that his eldest daughter dressed “too grown, too styled, too much like a mini version of the brand instead of a kid.” He threatened to sue her.
“She’s a child,” he said. “Kids are supposed to look like kids. Not like they’re walking a runway or copying adult clothes. You’re putting her in outfits that make people look twice for the wrong reasons. That’s not fashion. That’s you projecting. Let her be a little girl. Stop making her dress like she’s already in the family business.”
Kardashian has faced public criticism for her daughter’s style, particularly for her finger piercings.

On the other side of things, Kardashian reportedly feels frustrated with her ex-husband because he won’t enforce any rules around social media.
“Kim is very frustrated with Kanye because he’s refusing to be any sort of voice of reason or discipline for North when it comes to social media,” a source said, per She Knows. “Kanye is still not happy that Kim let North go on TikTok against his wishes, so now he’s taking this very hands-off attitude.”
He reportedly doesn’t want her on social media, so he puts the burden of enforcing the rules on his ex-wife.
“Any time she wants his help to enforce the rules, he says it’s her problem not his because she didn’t listen to him in the first place,” the source continued. “North idolizes Kanye. He could really help guide her, but he’s refusing out of spite, and because he doesn’t want to damage his relationship with her. He loves being her hero.”
