Raising four kids is no easy feat, and Kim Kardashian needs help. She and Kanye “Ye” West’s divorce settlement from 2022 details how they have joint legal and physical custody. However, Kardashian appears to take care of her kids day to day, as Ye is often traveling abroad. He’s currently in Spain with Bianca Censori.

According to The U.S. Sun, Kardashian has a lot of help with her kids. She has nanny assistance day and night for seven days a week. Her daytime nannies begin at 6 a.m. and work 12-hour shifts, while her night nannies are on call through the evening and prep Kardashian’s kids’ things for the following morning. Each nanny receives one day off per week, and Kardashian expects them to travel if needed.

“If one of the kids is going to Kanye, say like, North, it tends to cause a little chaos, as Kim has around three trusted ones that she will send,” an insider told the publication. “So then if two of the kids go, it’s even more chaos — which is why she’s got a team of about 10 nannies. But then layer on the tutors, art teacher, dance and music teachers, the kids’ stylists, creative play, and the house is often full of people there in service of the children — but all of that takes place in one dedicated wing of the house.”

The source added that Kardashian and her sisters were “raised by nannies” due to Kris Jenner’s busy schedule. “Yes, she was there, flitting in and out, barking orders, keeping a tight run of the ship,” the source continued, “but it was always the nannies that did the hard graft of managing the kids and house and the details.”

So, how much does Kardashian pay her nannies? “The full-time nannies are all on about $100,000 or more a year,” the source added. However, it’s typical for Hollywood nannies to make $250,000 or more.

Tiffany Norris from The Mummy Concierge spoke to DailyMail.com in 2021 about how much her nannies make. Her company provides home care to high-profile “celebrities, lawyers, bankers, doctors, and entrepreneurs.” She revealed that the nannies with her company typically make up to £120,000 annually — or $165,000.

Norris explained how her nannies are unlike any other. “They understand non-disclosures, will often have had training in self-defence and avoiding paparazzi, and have ‘extra skills,’ such as speaking multiple languages, knowing how to ski, have done courses in potty training and weaning, have degrees from Oxford or Cambridge,” she said. “I literally only work with the crème de la crème … because that’s what VIP families expect.”

In November 2024, Kim Kardashian spoke on iHeartRadio’s What in the Winkler? podcast about life as a single mom. She admitted that she knows others criticize her for complaining. However, she feels like she’s “basically raising four kids” by herself.

“But sometimes in the middle of the night, when they’re all sleeping in your bed kicking you and crying and waking up — it’s not something that I talk about a lot because I feel like there is always a lot of judgment or people always will jump to the, ‘Oh, but you have the resources to have nannies and to have help,'” Kardashian said. “And I just think that no matter what kind of help I have, basically raising four kids by myself.”
