Kylie Jenner and Timothée Chalamet joined the many celebrities who attended Jordyn Woods and Karl-Anthony Towns’ wedding in Malibu. And it didn’t go unnoticed that they were one of the only unmarried couples there.

An expert says because the occasion highlighted this, Jenner appeared to pull back as seen in photos from the wedding.

Inbaal Honigman is a body language expert. She has appeared in the media for more than two decades, offering her expertise and perspectives on current events and pop culture figures for several outlets, including Big Brother’s Little Brother, Elle Magazine, and talkSPORT radio, to name a few.

Speaking on behalf of Casino.org, Honigman told Showbiz Cheat Sheet, “Attending a wedding together, surrounded by their married friends, highlights for both Kylie and Timothée their unmarried status. As a result, a stark shift appears in Kylie and Timothée’s loved-up body language. Timothée is the one vying for Kylie’s attention for a change, but she appears to have run out of patience.”

The expert continued, “Over the past year or two, we’ve had miles of footage of Kylie gazing adoringly up at her beau, hanging back when he steps into the limelight, leaning towards him to shower him with attention when he’s near her, and generally making him the center of every situation. Kylie’s devotion has been vast and obvious, and she’s allowed herself to demonstrate her love for him in every opportunity.

“Timothée himself is often seen making direct eye contact with Kylie, remaining attentive to her disposition, and following her lead. He’s enjoyed these endless expressions of love, but has not taken the lead until now. Their dynamic has so far presented as a girl in love, one who cannot believe her luck in nabbing this award-winning heartthrob, and a guy who loves and appreciates the adoration.”

According to Honigman, “In the photos from the wedding, their dynamic is different. Kylie has had enough of waiting. Timothée can sense her patience waning, and he’s trying to step up, to charm and impress her. Timothée is seen with his hand over Kylie’s tummy, as if wishing for them to become a family. He circles her waist tenderly with his arm and lowers his chin towards her shoulder, embracing and welcoming, seeking her closeness.

“It is Timothée, who now can’t believe his luck in being with his mogul girlfriend. He takes a step back, focusing his moves around her, making her the centre of attention now. Kylie doesn’t reciprocate. Kylie’s hand is not covering Timothée’s when it is over her tummy. She’s not joining the move; rather, she lets him express his love, solo.”

The body language guru also noted that Jenner’s “head leans towards him, indicating that she’s pleased for him to express his devotion. But her hand is clutching her handbag, sending a message that her own needs and comfort are her priority. Returning Timothée’s affection in that moment isn’t a priority.

“In other photos, they’re seen sitting side by side, and Timothée is touching Kylie, a touch which is not reciprocated. When he stands behind her, his hands hang by his sides, as if waiting for instructions. Kylie has turned a cold shoulder to Timothée, and he can feel it, and therefore he ups his game. Chalamet acts more loving, more romantic, wanting to make sure that he doesn’t lose his gal.”

Honigman concluded, “Even when a tender moment is captured, showing Kylie fixing Timothée’s hair, this is not a romantic move, but more of a mother-son dynamic. She is caring and attentive, but this is not a gesture of desire or passion at all.”
