Kylie Jenner Shows Signs of Partying Too Hard Amid Timothée Chalamet Breakup Rumors
Kylie Jenner rang in her 28th birthday in true Kardashian-Jenner fashion — lavishly and unapologetically glam. The beauty mogul and reality TV star marked the milestone with an intimate yet extravagant celebration surrounded by close friends and family. And she shared glimpses of the festivities on social media. One of the photos on her Instagram Stories sparked alarm amongst fans, as it might’ve shown just how hard Kylie partied for her big day. Here’s what she posted and why some of her followers are concerned that she and Timothée Chalamet are no longer dating.

In a cozy Malibu setting on Aug. 10, 2025, Kylie Jenner turned 28 with an intimate dinner curated by her sister, Kendall Jenner. The front lawn transformed into a long, gravel-lined dining scene, adorned with red and white floral arrangements, flickering candles, and raspberries and tomatoes strewn artfully down the table. Kylie, glowing in a black lace Bardot top and sleek red-soled pumps, captured the moment on Instagram Stories, praising Kendall Jenner for planning the big day. She also shared a sweet video of herself blowing out candles, seated beside friend Hailey Bieber, who filmed the celebration.
On Aug. 10, Kylie posted a photo to her Instagram Stories that got her followers talking. The photo showed her sitting with a grilled cheese and a cup of ketchup with an IV connected to her arm. It’s more than likely that the reality star utilized IV vitamin therapy after a long night of partying for her birthday. Otherwise, Kylie may have been prepping for a big night out. Celebrities often use IV therapy to strengthen immunity and look their best before events.
Fans on Reddit noted that the IV made it look as if Kylie partied hard the night prior.
“That’s a hydration IV after a night of drinking,” one fan explained. “It’s a popular thing to do nowadays.”
“IV for hangover or just nutrients,” another fan explained. “They had a party last night in Montecito after the art thing at Kendall’s new house. Bieber posted pics.”
“Lots of people book these for the morning after bachelorette parties,” yet another fan wrote. “Not uncommon for wealthier people.”
Some fans suspect Kylie Jenner and Timothée Chalamet are no longer together
Kylie Jenner didn’t post any content to show whether Timothée Chalamet attended her birthday bash. However, fans noticed that Chalamet posted a bizarre image to his Instagram Stories on Jenner’s birthday. He posted a photo of Muhammad Ali celebrating a win in a boxing match. Over the image, Chalamet scribbled “Dream Big” in red letters.
While Chalamet’s post didn’t mention his famous girlfriend, fans on Reddit believe he’s staying focused on his career. His Instagram Stories may reference his upcoming film, Marty Supreme. He and Kylie may very well still be together, but he’s keeping his dating life off of social media.
“I think people are forgetting that he is a serious actor; for Kylie to participate in all the awards next year, he needs to do this,” one fan posted to Reddit. “In his speech at the SAG, he was very clear [that] he wants to be the GOAT, and to be the GOAT, sometimes there are absences. I think it is the first time she [has gone] through something like this, hence the sad posts, but I am sure they are fine.”
The reality star also appeared to listen to breakup songs ahead of her birthday
Timothée Chalamet’s apparent absence from Kylie Jenner’s birthday party gave some fans evidence of a possible breakup. Additionally, the Friday before her birthday, she posted notoriously sad songs to her Instagram Stories. According to DailyMail.com, one of the songs was Jeff Buckley’s “Lover, You Should’ve Come Over,” and another was Labi Siffre’s “Crying Laughing Loving Lying.”
Kylie didn’t elaborate on why she chose the songs with sad lyrics to post to the world. But it’s certainly possible that she’s referring to a tumultuous love situation with Chalamet. Additionally, she received words of encouragement from friend Hailey Bieber.
“28 is better I promise,” Bieber commented.
