Luka Dončić, nicknamed “Luke Magic,” has made a name for himself in the NBA. The Slovenian basketball player was traded to the Los Angeles Lakers during the 2024-2025 season after joining the league in 2019. While his incredible talent has made headlines, his relationship with Anamaria Goltes is now taking precedence in 2026.

So, who is Goltes? According to Parade, Goltes was reportedly born on April 30, 1998, in Zagorje ob Savi in central Slovenia. She attended the University of Ljubljana’s School of Economics and Business and has one sister. Today, she’s a model and an influencer. The publication notes that she was an ambassador for Lisca Lingerie in 2017. Then, she signed with Immortal Models Management. Goltes has appeared in magazines and ads, including on the Cosmopolitan Slovenia cover.

Goltes also has a strong social media presence. She has nearly 280,000 followers on Instagram, where she posts lifestyle and family content. While she has photos of herself and Dončić’s children on the platform, she doesn’t have any recent photos of herself with her ex.

So, how did the couple meet? They reportedly met as children when on vacation in Croatia. In a Q&A, Goltes revealed that they met when they were 12 and they still have the same friend group. They then started dating in 2016. At the time, they were around 17 or 18 years old. Dončić then proposed in Slovenia on July 7, 2023.

In March 2026, Luka Dončić said in a statement provided to ESPN that he made the “tough decision” to end his engagement to Anamaria Goltes. He and Goltes are reportedly also in a custody battle over their two daughters, Gabriela, 2, and Olivia, a newborn. Gabriela was born in the U.S., and Olivia was born in Slovenia.

“I love my daughters more than anything, and I’ve been doing everything I can for them to be with me in the U.S. during the season, but that hasn’t been possible, so I recently made the tough decision to end my engagement,” Dončić said. “Everything I do is for my daughters’ happiness, and I will always fight to be with them and give them the best life I can.”

Goltes reportedly filed a petition for child support and attorney fees in March 2026. The petition was reportedly filed in California. Dončić reportedly had “no idea” that it was filed. Sources close to Dončić said the Lakers player always provided for his family and daughters’ expenses “without limitation.”
