Lauren Sánchez’s Former Friend Said She Had 6 Cosmetic Procedures on the Same Body Part
In the wake of her star-studded June 27 wedding to Jeff Bezos in Venice, Lauren Sánchez has firmly transitioned into high society. But the public response has been polarizing. Many praised the event’s glamour and intimate feel at iconic venues in the Venetian Arsenal. And over 200 A‑list guests attended. However, critics denounced it as a display of “tacky” extravagance that spotlighted wealth over substance. Meanwhile, Sánchez’s fractured relationship with former friend and yoga instructor Alanna Zabel returned to the spotlight when Zabel filed a copyright infringement lawsuit ahead of the wedding. And Zabel previously commented on Sánchez’s alleged plastic surgery.
Lauren Sánchez’s former friend, Alanna Zabel, claims the new Mrs. Bezos had 6 breast augmentations
Lauren Sánchez’s rise to global prominence hasn’t come without controversy. And one of the most personal rifts resurfaced in a lawsuit from her former friend, yoga instructor Alanna Zabel. Once close confidantes in Los Angeles’ wellness and media circles, as Zabel was Sánchez’s private yoga instructor for nearly four years, the two women reportedly bonded over creative projects and spiritual growth. But their friendship abruptly unraveled in late 2010. In 2024, Zabel filed a copyright infringement lawsuit accusing Sánchez of stealing the concept and story for a children’s book Zabel was publishing and ultimately published. The legal filing also claims Sánchez “ghosted” her after years of collaboration and personal trust.
Per the 28-page federal complaint filed in Los Angeles against Sánchez, Sánchez allegedly copied the plot points, illustrations, and catchphrases from Zabel’s 2022 book, Dharma Kitty Goes to Mars, for her own book, The Fly Who Flew to Space. The federal complaint states Sánchez mimicked the order and pacing of Zabel’s book. The complaint adds that Sánchez allegedly copied the “original expression,” “scene for scene.”
“The level of similarity between these two books could not have occurred without copying,” the legal filing states.
According to the Irish Star, after Sánchez’s outfit from President Donald Trump’s inauguration was ridiculed online, Zabel took to a blog to discuss Sánchez’s alleged plastic surgery.
“I have been receiving tons of messages about Lauren Sanchez’s tatas in the last few days since the presidential inauguration, so I’m finally going to spill a few beans — not all of them, but a few,” Zabel allegedly posted at the time.
“When I first met Lauren, it was obvious to me, as to everyone else, that her boobs are not real,” Zabel continued, noting that Sánchez denied getting breast augmentations.
“A year later, as we had become closer, she finally admitted that she had breast implants, because she was planning to get them redone for the sixth time,” Zabel alleged.
Plastic surgeons commented on Lauren Sánchez’s look before the Blue Origin flight
Lauren Sánchez hasn’t stepped forward to address rumors surrounding plastic surgery. However, plastic surgeons have noticed her changing look.
In April 2025, Beverly Hills plastic surgeon Dr. Timothy Katzen told DailyMail.com that it looked as if the new Mrs. Bezos had injectables done. “With the neck, it gets thinner; you can see it loses fat and sags a bit, but this doesn’t happen with other areas,” Katzen said. “So, I think she had something injected into her face — either filler, fat, or cheek implants.”
Board-certified plastic surgeon Dr. Smita Ramanadham noticed that Sánchez appeared to have Botox or fillers around her eyes and eyebrows. “In that case, that does need to be done every three to four months,” Ramanadham said. “That’s typically the duration of Botox. So, that’s something that could have been done between [January] and now.”
Other plastic surgeons believe Mrs. Bezos has had cosmetic procedures, but she also has a few tricks of her own
In 2023, several other plastic surgeons weighed in on Lauren Sánchez’s look despite Sánchez’s silence. “Facelift expert” Dr. Konstantin Vasyukevich told Page Six that Sánchez most likely had a facelift to “prevent the sagging of the facial tissue and maintain youthful neck contour.”
That said, Sánchez might have a few non-invasive tricks of her own to remain youthful. According to Body Network, she engages in strength training, pilates, and hiking as main forms of exercise. She also follows a healthy diet, detailing how one of her favorite breakfasts includes egg whites and avocado. And, of course, she drinks plenty of water, preferring the Fiji brand over others.
