Can Jawalia forgive and put the past behind her? Or is she committed to making her rival pay?

In the September 26 episode of Life After Lockup, Jawalia considers her next move in her battle with Damodrick’s girlfriend Quiana, whom she’s accused of slashing her tires and vandalizing her car.

Damodrick’s dad urges Jawalia to focus on forgiveness

On last week’s episode of We TV’s Life After Lockup, Jawalia met with an investigator who asked if she’d be willing to take a polygraph to test her claims that it really was Quiana who was responsible for trashing her car. He also presented her with an affidavit of non-prosecution, suggesting that she sign it so that she could put the incident with Quiana behind her and move forward with her life.

Jawalia has some reservations, wondering what was in it for her to drop the charges. She said if she did sign the document, she’d want Quiana to agree to meet with her face-to-face to apologize and to cover some of the expenses she incurred from the vandalism.

In this exclusive clip from Friday’s episode of Life After Lockup, Jawalia discusses the situation with Damodrick’s dad, Jerry.

“This is an affidavit of non-prosecution?” he says as he looks at the document.

“I ain’t decided what I’m going to do,” Jawalia says.

“I’m not going to try to tell you what to do,” he says. “But growing up here, it’s hard sometimes when you feel someone is doing you wrong. You want to be justified. But being magnanimous and just granting someone forgiveness just because, that’s growth.”

Jawalia still wants Quiana to pay

Jerry thinks Jawalia acted rashly when she rushed to press charges again Quiana, who has denied having anything to do with the tire-slashing incident.

“I think Jawalia made an emotional decision by pressing the charges,” he says. “But when you’re going to act out like that, I can’t defend that. Think about the things that you do before you do them.”

Her tries to encourage Jawalia to see the big picture.

“Growth is always more important than justice,” he tells her.

But Jawalia isn’t so sure.

“Money is not enough for me to drop the charges against Quiana,” she tells a producer. “Because I feel like she can face me as a woman if you can mess up my stuff.”

“Everybody always make me feel ugly inside, or feel, like, bullied,” Jawalia continues, tearing up.

Now she’s done feeling like the victim and wants nothing to do with either Quiana or Damodrick.

“After this, I want both of them out of my f*cking life,” she says.

Life After Lockup airs Fridays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on We TV. Episodes also stream on ALLBLK and AMC+.
