Lily Collins Shines in Hollywood as Dad Phil Collins Faces Major Health Challenges
By 2026, Lily Collins has cemented her status as one of streaming television’s most recognizable stars, largely thanks to her leading role as Emily Cooper in Netflix’s global hit Emily in Paris. The British-American actress first gained attention in films like The Blind Side and Mirror Mirror. Still, the romantic comedy series propelled her to worldwide fame and earned her a Golden Globe nomination. Unfortunately, her father, Genesis frontman Phil Collins, reportedly now needs constant care due to recent health developments. Here’s what to know.
Lily Collins has recently been cast to play Audrey Hepburn in an upcoming film
Actor Lily Collins continues to make waves in Hollywood. In addition to recovering her engagement ring three years after it was stolen, she’s now taking on a new role as Audrey Hepburn in an upcoming film about the making of Breakfast at Tiffany’s.
Rather than a traditional biopic, the project will explore the behind-the-scenes story of how the 1961 romantic comedy came together. And it will explore how Hepburn’s performance helped transform both fashion and modern femininity on screen. The project is expected to focus on the turbulent production process behind Breakfast at Tiffany’s. This includes author Truman Capote famously preferring Marilyn Monroe for the lead role instead of Hepburn.
In addition to playing the iconic actress, Lily will also serve as a producer on the film through her company, Case Study Films. Alena Smith, creator of the Apple TV+ series Dickinson, is writing the script. Lily has said she has admired Hepburn for years, calling the opportunity to portray the screen legend “honored and ecstatic,” according to the Los Angeles Times.
Hepburn’s son, Sean Hepburn Ferrer, spoke to Fox News Digital about the casting. “I love Lily Collins,” he said. “Sam Wasson, the book’s writer, is a good friend of mine, and I’m very happy for him. I don’t have any huge thoughts on the film as it hasn’t been made yet.”
The ‘Emily in Paris’ star has also stepped deeper into the fashion world
In 2026, Lily Collins expanded her influence in the fashion world by becoming the first-ever global brand ambassador for the European fashion platform Zalando. The partnership launched with the retailer’s Spring/Summer 2026 campaign, marking a major milestone for the company. Lily headlines the campaign across digital and outdoor advertising as the platform celebrates the energy of the European summer season.
The campaign centers on the everyday fashion question, “What Do I Wear?” and follows Lily through scenes inspired by life across European cities. Zalando executives said the actress was chosen because she embodies “style confidence.” Lily herself noted that her time living and working in cities such as London and Rome gave her a personal connection to the European lifestyle.
Lily’s success in fashion follows her global popularity with Emily in Paris. With Zalando planning multiple campaigns throughout 2026, the partnership positions the actress as a central face of the retailer’s global marketing strategy.
Phil Collins revealed his declining health in 2026
The frontman of Genesis discussed his health decline with RadarOnline in 2026.
“I had everything that could go wrong with me go wrong with me,” Phil Collins said. “I mean, I got COVID in [the] hospital, my kidneys started to back up … everything that (started), that could (have) all seemed to sort of converge at the same time.”
The musician reportedly has a live-in nurse to ensure he takes his medications. While rumors circulated last July that suggested he was in hospice, this wasn’t true, as he was in the hospital for knee surgery. Still, he insists he’s been “very sick.”
“I’ve had five operations on my knee,” Phil revealed. “Now I’ve got a knee that works, and I can walk, albeit with assistance — crutches or whatever.”
In early 2026, Lily posted a sweet tribute on her Instagram to her father for his 75th birthday.
“Yesterday, Dad turned 75 and I feel so grateful to have celebrated together,” she captioned the post. “For all you’ve accomplished, all the joy you’ve brought so many all over the world for ALL these years, all the lessons we’ve learned, all the memories we’ve shared, and all the new ones to come, thank you. I count myself so lucky to have hugged you, laughed with you, and reminisced with you on such a monumental day. Proud is an understatement. Love you to the moon and back again ….”
