Princess Eugenie married her longtime partner, Jack Brooksbank, at St. George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle, on Oct. 12, 2018. The wedding was a star-studded affair with several celebrities in attendance, including Naomi Campbell, Demi Moore, Ellie Goulding, Cara Delevingne, Kate Moss, Liv Tyler, James Blunt, and Robbie Williams.

Of course, senior members of the royal family also attended that day and were seen conversing. Now, just ahead of the couple’s anniversary, a professional lip reader is sharing what they were talking to each other about while waiting for the ceremony to begin.

Here’s more on that, plus what the bride and groom said to one another as they exchanged vows.

What a lip-reading expert observed the royals talking about at Princess Eugenie’s wedding

She has contributed to the likes of Daily Mail, Page Six, Newsweek, and many more.

Speaking on behalf of Betfair Slots, Hickling shared with Showbiz Cheat Sheet what several royals discussed before Princess Eugenie’s wedding.

She noted that Princess Kate was seated next to Prince Harry, and they were engaged in conversation. The duke told his sister-in-law, “I’m working on the campaigns. Technically I am out of the country, and then I have 10 years to complete my campaigns.”

“You’re joking,” Kate responded, to which Harry said, “I wish I was.”

Hickling also decoded what the Duke of Sussex told his wife, Meghan, about other attendees arriving, saying, “Everyone is here.” The duchess then replied, “I saw as we came, everyone was asking questions.”

The lip-reading pro then observed Prince William discussing a matter with his father, King Charles. The prince asked, “Have you noticed how they are talking?” and “We need to determine their needs and what is right for us long-term.”

Hickling revealed that Eugenie and Brooksbank shared some adorable exchanges at the altar. The groom told his bride, “You have the most beautiful eyes.”

“Oh, do I?” the princess gushed, before Brooksbank repeated, “They’re beautiful.”

The mystery of the open seat in the chapel has been solved

Many fans who streamed the pair’s wedding have asked why there was one empty seat in the front row inside the chapel.

Was the seat open in case of an emergency? Or did it represent a former monarch or another royal who had passed? Well, actually, it’s neither.

According to Express, the reason the seat remained empty was because of Queen Elizabeth II. The late monarch preferred to sit in the second row of the chapel because she found the front row to be uncomfortable. Therefore, the seat directly in front of her always needed to be vacant as royal protocol dictated that no one could sit in front of the queen and obstruct her view.

This was confirmed hours after Eugenie and Jack’s wedding by a royal commentator who explained, “The seat in front of the queen is always left empty, I am told by BP [Buckingham Palace]. She needs to be seen — and the seat she was sitting in today is her favorite seat in that chapel, apparently.”
