Lisa Rinna, the actress-turned-reality star known for her bold style and equally bold personality, officially closed the door on her Real Housewives era. Best recognized for her roles on Days of Our Lives and Melrose Place, as well as her savvy ventures in fashion and beauty, Rinna brought Hollywood credentials and fearless energy to The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills for eight seasons. Recently, she discussed getting invited to Alexia Umansky’s wedding — and she refused to film for RHOBH while there. Here’s what happened.

Alexia Umansky personally invited ‘RHOBH’ star Lisa Rinna to her wedding in September 2025

Alexia Umansky, daughter of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Kyle Richards and real estate mogul Mauricio Umansky, tied the knot with longtime partner Jake Zingerman on Sept. 6, 2025, in a dreamy “midnight garden”-themed ceremony in Los Angeles, according to People. Close to 250 guests attended, including several of Alexia’s RHOBH castmates. Lisa Rinna, Erika Jayne, and Teddi Mellencamp were notably present. Though some photos didn’t show them together, Dorit Kemsley and Sutton Stracke were also confirmed to be there.

Before the wedding, Rinna spoke on the podcast, Let’s Not Talk About The Husband, with her husband, Harry Hamlin, about the event. Hamlin noted that “all the Housewife people will be there.” Rinna then explained how Alexia personally invited her to the wedding, which made her feel special.

“Well, I did get a little text message,” Rinna said, according to a clip posted to X. “You know, when I saw the invite, I was like, ‘Cool! I would love to. Alexia herself invited me, who I think is just darling, and she’s grown up with our kids. … So, she invited me to her engagement party, and I went, and she invited me to this. So, I feel special.”

Lisa Rinna says she refused to film with ‘The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ while at Alexia Umansky’s wedding

While speaking to Harry Hamlin, Lisa Rinna then noted that when Bravo plans to film an event for RHOBH, they typically give the attendees a heads-up. She said she received no such notice, which relieved her.

“I was like, ‘Great! I can go, and it’ll be fun,'” she continued.

Unfortunately, Rinna then received a text from a Housewives producer before the wedding. The text requested that Rinna call the producer.

“‘We’re gonna film a little bit at the wedding. Can we film you?'” the text asked the reality star. “That’s what he asked me. And I said, ‘I didn’t think you were filming at the wedding, and no, you can’t film me.'”

The producer then told Rinna that she’d have to sign a release. “And I said, you know, no, I’m not gonna do that. You’re not gonna film me. But, I’ll be there, and you can film around me. I’m going and supporting without being filmed, because I think it’s important to go and support. But, they’ll have to blur me out.”

The former reality star said it gave her a ‘nice satisfaction’ to refuse to film

Lisa Rinna and Bravo mutually decided that she would end her time with RHOBH after eight seasons. After her departure, Harry Hamlin told Us Weekly that leaving was the “best decision” she could’ve made.

“We were always a little circumspect about her doing it in the beginning. I was, for sure,” Hamlin said. “But as a branding opportunity, it turned out to be great for her. I think it thickened her skin a lot, too, so it’s a very difficult show to get through emotionally. But she did it and we’re still standing.”

While speaking to Hamlin on the podcast, Rinna noted that she felt satisfied to tell Bravo they couldn’t film her at the wedding.

“It’s a nice satisfaction to say, no, you can’t have me,” Rinna said. “No, you can’t.”
