Lorrana from Seeking Sister Wife is standing by her man.

On New Year’s Day, the TLC personality took to Instagram to share a series of photos of her and her husband, Garrick Merrifield. The images, one of which showed Garrick getting down on one knee, appeared to be from the couple’s engagement.

“Moving forward with faith, gratitude, and hope for a new year of blessings. Happy 2026,” she wrote in the caption in Portuguese.

‘Seeking Sister Wife’: New Details Emerge About Garrick Merrifield’s Arrest on Domestic Violence Charges

Lorrana’s post comes a little more than a month after Garrick was arrested in Colorado on a domestic violence charge. The alleged incident reportedly involved an altercation with Lorrana, who told a sheriff’s deputy that her husband was “was preventing her from contacting her family in Brazil,” according to The Mountain News.

Lorrana also claimed that Garrick took her phone during their argument. When she asked for it back, he refused to hand it over and threatened to call Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

Garrick and Lorrana married in October 2024. They welcomed their first child, a daughter named Sara Mae, in July 2025.

Garrick has three other children with his other wife, Dannielle Merrifield. They were legally married for more than a decade before divorcing so that Garrick could pursue his dream of adding a second wife from another country to their family.

None of the Merrifields have commented directly on Garrick’s arrest. But another post from Lorrana suggests they are still living in a plural marriage. In late December 2025, she shared a photo of Sarah and Garrick and Dannielle’s daughter Leia.

“Two girls, one endless love,” she wrote, adding that she thought they’d “be best friends forever.”

‘Seeking Sister Wife’ star wants to add third wife to his family

Despite his recent arrest, Garrick is still interested in adding another wife to his family. In the Seeking Sister Wife Season 6 season finale, which aired shortly after his arrest, he told Dannielle that he expected her to legally wed their third wife.

“You know, if God had us to meet another woman from another country, truly our best option would be, Dannielle would have to marry to have her come here,” Garrick said in a confessional interview. “Just because we don’t know how long it would take before me and Lorrana could get divorced where I could marry another woman.”

A stunned Dannielle said she wasn’t aware of Garrick’s plans.

“I feel like it’s more of a discussion I feel like we need to have. ‘Cause I thought it was gonna be a couple of years for her adjustment of status and they could divorce,” she said. “I didn’t realize it would take so long and that that would be … you know, in the next year, if we’re adding someone, that it would be on me to marry them from another country.”

Meanwhile, Lorrana expressed reservations about Garrick rushing into a relationship with another woman.

“I know we live in the plural, but at the moment, I don’t feel very comfortable looking for another wife now because it’s all very new to me,” Lorrana said via a translation app. “Having a baby and not having much time with Gar makes me a little worried.”
