‘Love Is Blind’ Alum Joins Cast of OWN’s ‘Ready to Love’ 

Second time’s the charm? 

A Love Is Blind alum has signed on for another reality show that aims to help people find love. 

Jarrette Jones appeared on Love Is Blind Season 2, where he married Iyanna McNeely during the February 2022 finale. Unfortunately, love might have been blind, but it wasn’t forever. In August 2022, Jones and McNeely announced that they were divorcing after roughly a year of marriage. 

Now, four years later, Jones is ready to give love – and reality TV – another chance. He’s part of the cast of Ready to Love: Chicago, which premieres October 2 on OWN. The show follows a vibrant group of successful Black singles in their 30s and 40s as they navigate the excitement, challenges, and unexpected twists of finding lasting love in the Windy City.  

So far, Jones hasn’t commented on his decision to sign up for another reality show. After finalizing her divorce, McNeely shared in an emotional TikTok (via People), that Jones was a different person when the Love Is Blind cameras went away. 

“I’m crying for the marriage I thought could work. I’m crying for the man I thought he was — that man he convinced me he was in the beginning, in between all that very-scheduled filming — there were good moments in there. There was connection,” she said. 

“Then, cameras left and sh*t hit the wall,” she added. “But don’t get it twisted. I’m happy that I’m moving forward. I’m happy that I’m out of something that no longer works for me, something that drained the life out of me.”

Earlier this year, McNeely proved that she’d moved on to better things after her reality TV experience. In January, she wed Alexander Lewis in a romantic Chicago wedding. Her Love Is Blind co-star Natalie Lee was one of her bridesmaids. 

Ready to Love: Chicago premieres Friday, October 2 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on OWN.
