‘Love Is Blind’ Season 10 Reunion: Body Language Expert Analyzes the Couples’ Onstage Moments
The Love Is Blind Season 10 reunion gave fans updates on the couples that fell in love on the show — and there were several shocking moments that loyal viewers couldn’t predict. Only two of the couples tied the knot on the show. And one couple remained married by the time of the reunion. Breakups and difficult-to-watch moments ran rampant on this season of the reality series. And a celebrity body language expert analyzed the couples at the reunion. Here’s what she noticed.
A celebrity body language expert noticed that a friendship between Amber and Jordan seems ‘impossible’ at the ‘Love Is Blind’ Season 10 reunion
Amber and Jordan are one of the most talked-about couples from Love Is Blind Season 10. While they tied the knot on the show, they revealed during the reunion that they ended their marriage a few months later. During the reunion, Amber accused Jordan of emotional neglect. Jordan also mentioned how the relationship negatively affected his mental health.
Celebrity body language expert Inbaal Honigman via Casino.ca said it’s clear the couple no longer loves each other. And “even a bond of friendship is impossible for the pair at this stage.”
“Jordan sits with his signature sunny smile, but his head is a little lowered, sheepish,” Honigman noticed. “Amber’s facial expression is kind of sarcastic; her cheeks are raised in a smile, but her lips are pursed, and her chin pointed. Jordan is very nervous; he’s breathing deeply and licking his lips, which are signs of anxiety.”
Honigman added that Jordan’s dropped gaze makes him appear sad. And Amber looked annoyed as she spoke through “tight lips” with an “unsmiling” face.
“Jordan shakes his head when Amber expresses her difficulties in the marriage, and then covers his mouth with his finger,” the expert continued. “Those are blocking moves that say that Jordan disagrees, but he doesn’t want to communicate. He doesn’t want to listen, and he doesn’t want to answer.”
“Similarly, when Jordan describes incidents that pushed him away, Amber isn’t interested in talking,” she added. “She sits with her shoulders curled forward, face stern, glancing ahead, like a child receiving a telling off, but she’s not hearing what he’s saying. Their communication is broken beyond repair.”
Honigman noted that Amber “appears to feel emotional pain when her daughter Emma is raised in the conversation. Her lips thin and her chin puckers; she feels regret for having seen her daughter experience the divorce, too.” Amber then has an “outburst” when she’s “about to cry.”
“When Amber storms off, she’s still trying to calm herself down; her arms are raised to the sides, balancing her body and her emotions,” Honigman stated. And Amber appears “less guarded” when she returns.
“Jordan’s smile breaks into a hearty laugh when Amber compliments him. The positive reinforcement hits a special spot in his heart, and he is relieved and delighted, soaking up all the support that he didn’t feel like he got when they were together.”
The expert commented on Chris’ ‘regret’ toward Jess
Chris made waves on Love Is Blind Season 10 when he told Jess that he didn’t have physical attraction toward her. He then pursued another cast member, Bri. Bri rejected his advances.
“Chris may say that he is not proud of a lot of his moments on the show, but his facial expression says otherwise,” body language expert Inbaal Honigman said. “He looks upwards, his eyes raised, and he only shows the tiniest hints of regret and understanding. There’s a little bit of stretched lip, which shows regret, but not that much.”
Honigman noticed how Jess “averts her eyes and can’t even look at Chris when he speaks,” showing she’s still in pain.
“Hearing Chris describe their amazing connection prompts a questioning expression in Jess,” she added. “She puckers her chin while pulling down the corners of her mouth, which says ‘really?!'”
“Apologizing to Jess, Chris is emotional. His lips tighten as he tries to find his voice, and he expresses genuine sorrow. Jess is shocked to hear the regret in his voice, and she nods lightly to herself. She accepts the apology, though she still isn’t looking directly at him. … Jess’s emotional moment, when she cries, is a genuine emotional recall of that hurtful moment.”
Ashley and Alex showed ‘no trust or love between them’
Celebrity body language expert Inbaal Honigman said that Ashley and Alex’s body language showed there’s no “trust or love between them” during the reunion.
“When Alex tries to explain what went wrong with the relationship, he employs a lot of contrasting expressions,” Honigman noted. “He raises his eyes with curiosity; he speaks with his hands decisively. The fact that his body language is so uneven when he talks about how wrong him and Ashley are for another, indicates that he doesn’t know at all why they aren’t together, and he’s trying to convince himself that it was a decision which he’s made, rather than a reaction he had in the context of not being ready for a committed relationship.”
“At the same time, Ashley leans into grooming gestures, tidying her hair and touching at her face, showing that she feels insecure when Alex throws unfounded accusations around.”
“… [W]hen Alex suggests that Ashley could have behaved differently at the wedding, Ashley shakes her head in disbelief and widens her eyes in shock,” she added.
Bri and Connor looked ‘excited’ to continue dating after the ‘Love Is Blind’ Season 10 reunion
Inbaal Honigman commented on Bri and Connor after the reunion. While the couple didn’t tie the knot on the show, they said they continued to date after Love Is Blind Season 10.
“Bri feels a little nervous when she admits that she regrets ending things on the show,” Honigman said. “Connor looks at her, nervous too. But when they reveal that they’re still together, that clarifies why they were nervous.”
“They sit with their knees touching, excited to be together. Comfortable in each other’s company and excited to be a couple still.”
“Bri is adamant that she was always all-in on Connor,” Honigman continued. “Her body faces him, her legs are crossed towards him, and she’s keen to make him know that he is her number one. Connor responds by taking her hand reassuringly.”
Brittany and Devonta appeared ‘regretful’ over how their romance ended
During the Love Is Blind Season 10 reunion, Devonta and Brittany noted that they officially broke up. And Devonta stunned fans by stating he’s engaged and expecting a baby with another woman.
“The two sit close together, so they have processed some forgiveness after their relationship,” body language expert Inbaal Honigman stated. “Brittany speaks openly about the relationship, using her hands and not covering her body. Devonta’s body language is more protective, he holds his hands in front of his body, feeling vulnerable. They mirror each other’s body language, which suggests that they’re both equally regretful about the way it ended.”
“Brittany is incredulous when Devonta suggests that he was slowly leaving the relationship in the two weeks prior to their split,” she continued. “She jumps in her seat and stares at him in disbelief, shaking her head. She can’t believe that Devonta is justifying his lie as if it was a strategy designed to spare her feelings.”
The expert added that Brittany appears “really happy” for Devonta when he states he’s becoming a father. “She’s astonished but wishes good things for her ex.”
Mike and Emma had an ‘understanding between them’ at the reunion
Love Is Blind Season 10 viewers remember how Emma and Mike’s biggest conflict was over having children. Ultimately, they didn’t tie the knot. They revisited their previous romance during the reunion.
“Emotions between Emma and Mike are uneven,” Inbaal Honigman said. “Their eyes meet, they’re sitting close by, not avoiding each other, and they smile, but Emma fixes Mike with a hard stare when he talks.”
“They nod at each other, there’s an understanding between them. The bond of trust which they had built is unbroken. They’re not in love anymore, but they appear to hold each other in high regard.”
Emma then appeared “a little sad” when Mike revealed he had a new girlfriend. “When Emma looks away, Mike quickly glances towards her, wanting to make sure that she’s OK.”
Vic and Christine have a ‘strong bond’ after ‘Love Is Blind’ Season 10
Celebrity body language expert Inbaal Honigman says Vic and Christine clearly had a lot of love for each other at the Love Is Blind Season 10 reunion.
“They join each other on the stage, instantly cuddling to show support for one another,” she said. “Their hands are on each other’s knees on the sofa, indicating that their bond is strong.”
“When a couple sits in the same pose, it shows their bond as they mirror each other’s moves. The couple looks at each other with full trust; their unbroken eye contact and their little smiles when they turn to face each other are all clear indications that this couple is in love and planning a life together.”
Honigman added that Vic looks “proud of Christine” as she talks. “Their wide smiles and open facial expressions are at odds with their protective body language. The couple may have made a decision to avoid talking about specific topics or situations, perhaps deciding in advance not to discuss their future family plans.”
