On Love Island USA, Kenzie Annis and Dylan Wrona had a heavy conversation about the future of their relationship. Dylan has had a difficult time trusting Kenzie, leading her to doubt that they can be together. According to a body language expert, Kenzie is already fully checked out of the relationship.
Kenzie and Dylan discussed their relationship on ‘Love Island’
On Monday’s episode of Love Island, Kenzie and Dylan discussed the state of their relationship. She has explored other connections in the past, which has led him to distrust her. She expressed her frustration with this.
“I’m telling you how I’m different with you,” she said. “Like it was before I met you, and I don’t know how much more I can do. I don’t know how to move on from this, because I don’t feel like we are moving on from it. I don’t know what more I can say to you, Dylan.”
Dylan said that he wants to see a change in Kenzie’s behavior.
“I can’t trust just because you said it,” he told her. “I need to be able to, like, I need to see it.”
Kenzie said that while she likes Dylan, she didn’t think they could build a relationship without trust.
A body language expert examined the conversation between Kenzie and Dylan
During her conversation with Dylan, Kenzie rubbed her eyes. Body language expert Inbaal Honigman with Casino.ca said that this was not a good sign for their relationship.
“When Kenzie rubs her eyes while talking to Dylan, this is the clearest sign that she’s willing to check out of the whole relationship,” she said. “Talking to him is causing Kenzie to feel exhausted, stressed, and disbelieving.”
Honigman said she thinks Dylan’s mistrust has exhausted Kenzie.
“She’d rather be alone and out of the game and not have to deal with Dylan’s questioning and mistrust of her,” she said. “The eye rubbing is a sign that she doesn’t want to engage with Dylan and process all the information between them.”
As Kenzie and Dylan spoke, contestant Zach Georgiou also noted that the body language between them didn’t look promising.
He seemed afraid to share his thoughts
During the conversation, Kenzie spoke more than Dylan. Honigman noted that he seemed hurt.
“Dylan is upset. When Kenzie’s body language disengages from the conversation, Dylan’s Adam’s apple rises then falls, as he swallows hard,” she explained. “This hard swallow is a sign that he is experiencing anxiety, as he’s processing the intense emotions.”
She also believes that he had concerns about making things worse between them. As a result, Honigman believes he self-censored.
“Dylan holds his finger to his lips, in a ‘shhh…’ position,” she said. “He is afraid to speak, not wanting to escalate the situation.”
