Madison Beer’s Engagement Ring From Justin Herbert Rivals Taylor Swift’s Ring in More Ways Than One
Singer Madison Beer and Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert are engaged!
The NFL star and the “Make You Mine” artist shared their happy news via a joint Instagram post with a carousel of photos on July 28. Beer flashed her huge diamond ring in several snaps, and now a jewelry expert is revealing that the pop star’s rock rivals Taylor Swift’s ring in size and price.
Swift’s diamond from Travis Kelce is estimated to be 8 to 10 carats and cost around $1 million. So how does Beer’s engagement ring compare?
Neil Dutta, Managing Director of the U.K. jewelry retailer Angelic Diamonds, broke down a few details about the “Selfish” hitmaker’s stunning ring.
Dutta told Showbiz Cheat Sheet, that Beer’s sparkler is an “elongated cushion-cut diamond, which I estimate to be around $1 million. Based on the photographs, the diamond looks to weigh between 10 and 12 carats, making it an exceptionally rare stone … Set on a simple yellow gold band, this allows the ring to do all of the talking while creating the illusion of the diamond being even bigger than it is, without the distraction of additional stones.”
Dutta added, “The elongated cushion cut diamond is particularly striking. Traditional cushion-cut diamonds are known for their rounded corners, giving them a romantic, pillow-like look. However, this stone appears to have a very rare 2:1 ratio in a north-to-south placement, giving it a much more elongated silhouette. This is a very sophisticated take on a classic cut that feels both contemporary and timeless.
“Minimalist engagement rings with exceptional center stones continue to dominate celebrity proposals. Rather than relying on intricate designs, they’re all about showcasing the quality and rarity of a single diamond, and this ring does exactly that.”
