Will There Be a ‘Married at First Sight’ Season 20? What We Know About the Future of the Peacock Show
[Warning: This article contains spoilers for Married at First Sight Season 19.]
That’s a wrap on Married at First Sight Season 19!
On November 20, we learned which of the five Austin couples decided to stay together on Decision Day. Then, everyone came together for a reunion where they revealed what happened after the cameras went away. (Spoiler: While all the couples said yes on Decision Day, everyone had split up by the time the reunion was filmed.)
The latest season of the long-running reality show might not have resulted in any lasting relationships. But we’re not ready to give up on love. Here’s what we know about the future of MAFS on Peacock.
Is ‘Married at First Sight’ Season 20 coming to Peacock?
Married at First Sight made a big change for season 19, with the show moving from Lifetime to Peacock.
Peacock picked up the show in what was reportedly a three-season deal, according to Deadline. However, the streamer has not yet officially confirmed that the show will return for seasons 20 and 21.
‘MAFS’ Season 20 reportedly takes place in Seattle
While there’s no official word on MAFS Season 20, the next season will reportedly take place in Seattle, according to Instagram fan account @mafsfan. Interestingly, Married at First Sight expert Dr. Pepper Schwartz has previously said the show was unlikely to film in Seattle because it is “not a very diverse community.”
Casting for the new season may have happened in the last summer of 2025, with filming beginning soon after.
A casting announcement from production company Kinetic Content also confirms that the show is moving forward with production in other cities. Earlier this year, the search was on for singles in Phoenix, Las Vegas, and Kansas City who were willing to marry a complete stranger.
When will the next season of ‘Married at First Sight’ premiere?
There’s no word yet on when new episodes of Married at First Sight might premiere on Peacock. If the show is currently filming, it will likely be at least a few months – and potentially much longer – before we get a look at the new couples. (MAFS Austin began filming in February 2024 but didn’t premiere until a year and a half later.)
However, with the move to Peacock, Married at First Sight also got a more condensed season. Rather than stretching over several months as it did on Lifetime, Peacock released episodes in batches, with the whole season airing over the course of a single month. That’s similar to the release schedule for Love Is Blind, another Kinetic Content show. Netflix also airs multiple seasons of Love Is Blind per year, and it’s possible that Peacock might be considering doing the same for MAFS.
Married at First Sight Season 19 is now streaming on Peacock.
