Mauricio Umansky Backs PK in Heated ‘RHOBH’ Sit-Down With Dorit Kemsley

Mauricio Umansky is wading into the drama surrounding Dorit Kemsley’s split from her husband, PK Kemsley. 

In the February 12 episode of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Kyle Richards’ ex sat down with Dorit to discuss her fraught relationship with PK. Kyle had suggested that Mauricio reach out to her RHOBH co-star because he’s a close friend of PK. She thought he might be able to help mediate the increasingly tense situation between PK and Dorit. But the convo may have ended up making things worse.

Though Mauricio claimed he wasn’t going to take sides in the he-said, she-said situation, it quickly became clear that he was sympathetic to PK’s story. 

Dorit has complained that PK is refusing to communicate with her over key issues. She was hopeful that Mauricio might encourage her ex to work with her on their finances and to stop shutting her out so that he could see his kids. But during his conversation with Dorit, Mauricio questioned her narrative, revealing that PK has shown him text messages from Dorit that supported his version of events amid their acrimonious split.

“I’ve seen it all,” he told the Bravo star. “I promise you, like, I have seen the spreadsheets of his proposal on the money. … He showed me everything.”

Dorit later described her meeting with Mauricio as a “waste of time.” But Kyle defended his approach to his meeting with Dorit.

“[Dorit] went into it, I think, thinking, well, this is PK’s friend, he’s not going to be open-minded,” Kyle explained during the The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills After Show. “I know Mau’s character; I know that he actually would’ve been. He could’ve gone back to PK and said, ‘Listen, she does have a point here.’ And he will, you know, talk straight with, you know, anyone he cares about. So, it’s unfortunate that it ended that way.”

For her part, Dorit said she did go into the sit-down with Mauricio with an open mind. But she quickly realized that that he had already formed an opinion of the situation. 

“Mau came in as PK’s soldier,” she said. “It was like PK gave him a script, and he was just coming out with things. It didn’t even make sense.”

But Mauricio later told Kyle he felt like he was talking to a brick wall.

“She has her perspective, she has her point of view, and, you know, there was no way I was gonna change it,” Mau told his estranged wife. “All I was trying to do was let her see his point of view. I mean, to be honest with you, I don’t know if I can help them.”

Dorit claims PK has a drinking problem 

Dorit and PK announced in May 2024 that they were going their separate ways. She filed for divorce in April 2025 after nine years together. The breakup soon turned nasty, with arguments over finances, custody of their two children, and PK’s alleged drinking problem. 

During her meeting with Mauricio, Dorit alleged that PK was using alcohol again. She’d previously described him as a “full-blown alcoholic,” a claim he denied. Mauricio admitted that his friend was not completely sober, but said that he was simply have a glass of wine or two with dinner.

“He’s not overdrinking … I go to dinner with him,” Mauricio said. “He’s ordering a glass of wine, maybe two. We’re not sitting there pounding it. That’s not what he’s doing.”

“He didn’t stop drinking for a year because [it was] just for a casual thing,” Dorit replied. “He stopped drinking because he needed to stop drinking.”
