Megan Thee Stallion Once Clapped Back at Fan Who Critiqued Her Thanksgiving Charity Efforts
Megan Thee Stallion has built a reputation not only as a chart-topping rapper but also as a committed philanthropist who consistently gives back to her community. From donating more than 1,000 turkeys to Houston families during the holiday season to launching initiatives that support women’s education, mental health, and disaster relief, Megan uses her platform to uplift those in need. However, she still has to combat negative comments when they arise. Here’s how she clapped back at a fan in the past over her Thanksgiving charity work.
Megan Thee Stallion once commented on a fan’s criticism over her Thanksgiving charity work in 2019
As Megan Thee Stallion’s influence grows, she continues to be recognized as one of the most impactful, socially conscious stars in entertainment. In November 2019, the rapper made a significant impact on her hometown by donating $15,400 worth of Thanksgiving turkeys to the Houston Food Bank, helping feed 1,050 households across five Houston neighborhoods, including Fifth Ward and Kashmere Gardens, according to the Houston Chronicle. Megan showed up in person at the food bank’s Portwall Pantry to help volunteers pack the turkeys.
In a post on her Instagram, she wrote, “I landed right off my flight and came straight to the @houstonfoodbank … we’ve already donated over 1,000 turkeys to families in Houston … still giving them out tonight and tomorrow.”
HotNewHipHop reported that Megan responded to one critical fan who questioned how long Megan spent with the charity work.
“I feel like she passed out one turkey, took a pic and left,” the fan commented with a skull and a crying-laughing emoji, “but I love her!!”
“I donated money for the turkeys, came and met the families, passed them out, and took pictures … but love you too,” Megan clapped back.
In 2025, Megan made great strides with her philanthropic efforts, as her Pete & Thomas Foundation held its inaugural gala and raised over $1.2 million. We’re excited to see what she does next.
