Meghan Markle Addresses the Future of ‘With Love, Meghan,’ Hints at Big Changes Ahead for Netflix Show
Meghan Markle carefully dodged a question about the future of her Netflix show during an appearance at Fortune’s Most Powerful Women Summit on October 14.
The Duchess of Sussex sat down with Fortune’s editor-in-chief and chief content officer Alyson Shontell to discuss her As Ever brand and other business ventures. But when it came to what’s next for With Love, Meghan, she kept things vague.
Meghan Markle is ‘testing’ new ideas for ‘With Love, Meghan’
The first season of Meghan’s lifestyle show dropped on Netflix in March 2025, with season 2 following in August. While a holiday special is on the horizon, the streamer has not announced whether the series will return for a complete third season.
“Will we be seeing a season 3 of With Love, Meghan? Will it be on Netflix?” Shontell asked.
“Well, the holiday special is coming out in November. And that, it’s a really good one,” Meghan said.
The duchess went on to hint that if With Love, Meghan does return, it might involve a pivot to short-form content.
“So I think looking at that format — again, it’s a year of learns — so we’re able to say, ‘Eight episodes for two seasons — it’s a lot of work,” she said. “And having done Suits for seven years, I remember what goes into a production. I also recognize how much people want content in different sizes.”
“So part of what we’re testing out now is, it’s amazing to sit and watch a show for 30 minutes, but how can I give you a recipe in two minutes?” she continued. “And where can I share that with you? And how that continues to grow As Ever. So exploring all the options of what it could look like.”
Has ‘With Love, Meghan’ been canceled?
Meghan’s comments come not long after she and her husband, Prince Harry, renegotiated the terms of their Netflix deal. Rather than having an exclusive deal with the streamer, their Archewell Productions company now has a first-look arrangement, which gives them the freedom to shop projects that Netflix passes on to other companies.
Insiders have claimed that Netflix was disappointed with the result of their partnership with the Sussexes. While the tell-all documentary Harry & Meghan was a massive success, shows like Polo and Heart of Invictus weren’t smash hits. The first season of With Love, Meghan debuted in the top 10, but season 2 failed to make the streamer’s most-watched chart, noted Deadline.
However, an insider told Radar that Netflix still sees value in working with Meghan.
“Meghan’s work might divide opinion, but it gets attention,” the source said. “That’s what Netflix cares about.”
