Meghan Markle Is Hosting a Big Name She Worked With on TV, but It Isn’t Any of Her ‘Suits’ Castmates
Meghan Markle‘s Netflix show With Love, Meghan debuted in March with eight episodes. It was later announced that several remaining episodes of the series already filmed would be released via season 2 in the fall of 2025.
In season one of her show, the Duchess of Sussex shared some of her “tips and tricks for hosting” and welcomed a few guests including The Office actor Mindy Kaling, make-up artist Daniel Martin, and Meghan’s former Suits co-star Abigail Spencer.
And we now know one of the big names who makes an appearance on Prince Harry’s wife’s show in season 2.
Here’s more on that and which show that star was on that you may not rememeber Meghan being on as well.
The star Meghan will be working with again
The Daily Mail has reported that the celebrity appearing in one episode of the next season is model, TV personality, and cookbook author Chrissy Teigen.
A source told the publication: “Chrissy is the big name in series two, and they have been friends for a long time.”
For those who aren’t aware, John Legend’s wife and the Duchess of Sussex have known each other for several years, long before Meghan and Harry got married and even before Meghan was on Suits.
In 2018, Teigen revealed: “I was on Deal Or No Deal with [Meghan] and she was lovely.”
Meghan was one of the 26 briefcase girls on the game show in 2006 and 2007.
Teigen shared that in September 2020, when she lost her unborn baby, Jack, Meghan reached out to support her.
The model said at the time: “She’s been so kind to me ever since we connected, she had written to me about baby Jack, and loss.”
Teigen is also one of Meghan’s celebrity pals who took to social media when the duchess first launched her lifestyle products to gush about how delicious her jam was. And while Teigen has returned to her Deal or No Deal roots in different roles, Meghan didn’t have the best experience working on the game show and therefore never looked back.
Meghan didn’t have the fondest memories about her time on ‘Deal Or No Deal’
After her days on the program, Meghan spoke to Esquire but didn’t have the nicest things to say about being a case model. In fact, she said she only did it to make ends meet and it made her realize that she’d rather be doing something else.
“Definitely working on Deal or No Deal was a learning experience, and it helped me to understand what I would rather be doing,” she explained. “I would end up standing up there forever in these terribly uncomfortable and inexpensive five-inch heels just waiting for someone to pick my number so I could go and sit down.”
Then in 2023, during an episode of her now-canceled Archetypes podcast, Meghan said: “I ended up quitting the show. I was so much more than what was being objectified on the stage. I didn’t like being forced to be all looks and little substance. You have to imagine, just to paint the picture for you, that before the tapings of the show all the girls would line up and there were different stations and you had your lashes put on, and your extensions put in, and the padding in your bra.”
However, some of the other briefcase model who she stood on the stage with Meghan denied her claims including Patricia Kara. She told Inside Edition that she did not feel the same way the duchess did and denied that there was any station where bras were padded.
“It’s unfortunate that she felt that way because in my experience, I’ve never, ever felt that way,” Kara said. She then insisted, “There was no bra station. There was no bra station!”
