In a candid TikTok video posted on November 10, Michael Jackson’s daughter showed how using drugs had damaged her nose.

“I have a really loud whistle when I breathe through my nose,” Jackson said. “And that is because I have what is called a perforated septum. Slightly different from a deviated septum,” she added as she used her phone’s light to give viewers a look at the insider of her nose.

“That is from what you think it’s from,” the singer admitted. “Don’t do drugs, kids … I don’t recommend it because it ruined my life.”

Jackson, 27, noted that she had serious reservations about seeing a doctor to address the issue.

“I don’t want to get plastic surgery to fix it because I’m almost six years sober and you have to take pills when you do a surgery that gnarly,” she confessed.

Instead, Jackson has resigned herself to dealing with the situation.

“I’ve been living with this since I was about 20. And it’s a bitch when you’re in the studio,” she shared.

Michael Jackson’s daughter is “an alcoholic and a heroin addict”

Jackson has previously referred to herself as “an alcoholic and a heroin addict.” She got sober in 2020.

“Today marks 5 years clean & sober from all drugs and alcohol. to say that i’m thankful would be a poor euphemism,” she wrote in a January 2025 Instagram post. “Gratitude hardly scratches the surface. it’s because i’m sober that i get to smile today. i get to make music. i get to experience the joy of loving my dogs and cat. i get to feel heartbreak in all it’s glory. i get to grieve. i get to laugh. i get to dance. i get to trust.”

“I feel the sun on my skin and it’s warm. i’ve found that life keeps happening regardless of whether i’m sober or not, but today i get to show up for it,” she continued.

“Here’s a little snapshot of what has been possible because of my sobriety, and my god i can’t believe i almost missed it all,” Jackson added alongside a video montage of herself drinking alcohol and partying before showing a series of Alcoholics Anonymous chips, followed by clips of herself looking happier and healthier.

“To those that helped me on this journey, if only for just the beginning, middle, or whole time so far, you know who you are and I owe you my life,” she wrote at the end of the video. “Thank you. 5 years. THANK GOD.”
