Mike Wolfe’s New Show Gets Premiere Date After Co-Star Danielle Colby Announces ‘American Pickers’ Is ‘Done’
Mike Wolfe’s new show for the History Channel will premiere next month, the network announced Thursday. The news come shortly after Wolfe’s American Pickers co-star Danielle Colby said that show is “done” after 27 seasons.
‘History’s Greatest Picks With Mike Wolfe’ premieres February 22
The American Pickers star will host History’s Greatest Picks with Mike Wolfe. The eight-episode series begins airing Sunday, February 22 at 9 p.m. ET. It will follow Wolfe as he dives into the intriguing stories and astonishing values behind legendary treasures, relics, and artifacts from history.
“I’ve been on the road filming American Pickers for over a decade, tracking down hidden gems in the most unexpected places and connecting with fascinating people who are preserving history,” Wolfe said. “I’m looking forward to embarking on a new adventure, while continuing my lifelong passion of picking with this series. Viewers are in for a ride through the greatest finds of all time.”
Relying on his eye for the unique and his passion for collection, Wolfe will “guide viewers through surprising new details about legendary artifacts and rare collectibles that have changed hands and value over the last 50 years,” according to History Channel, “Each episode is a curated showcase of unbelievable finds — from vintage cars and motorcycles to pop culture relics, and historic oddities — paired with expert insight and rich storytelling that brings the pieces to life.”
‘American Pickers’ star Danielle Colby is at ‘an epic crossroads’
The news of Wolfe’s new show come not long after his American Pickers co-star Colby quietly shared that the popular reality series was ending after 27 seasons.
“I just found out that American Pickers is done,” Colby, who uses they/them pronouns, said in a video shared on Instagram in early December 2025.
Colby recently opened the Ecdysiast Arts Museum in Davenport, Iowa. The museum celebrates the history and art of burlesque. It’s a longtime passion project for Colby, 50, who also works as a burlesque performer.
“I am at this epic crossroads where I’ve laid out what I want to do, so I already have that plan in motion,” Colby shared. “But now is the time where I like have to fully dig in and commit to this plan that I have laid out. And without the financial support of American Pickers, it’s going to be a wild one.”
“You can come with me on this process as a former reality TV star just trying to find her f*cking way in the world. Because what do I do now?” they added. “I’ve got the plan. We’re moving forward. But how do I make money with a museum, that’s the question… Wish me luck!”
While Colby is making plans for life post-American Pickers, the show is not officially canceled. The History Channel told Parade that while the series was not currently in production, new episodes would continue to air in 2026. In addition, the show “could go back into production early next year,” a representative for the network said.
American Pickers premiered in 2010. It followed Wolfe and Frank Fritz as they traveled the country searching for valuable treasures. Colby ran Wolfe’s store, Antique Archaeology, in LeClaire, Iowa, hunted down leads, and researched items for the pair. Fritz left the show in 2021 amid reports of conflict with Wolfe; he died in September 2024.
