What’s changing in this year’s Miss USA pageant?

This year’s Miss USA pageant will be the first under new CEO Thom Brodeur. The experience pageant coach and judge took over the organization after a string of controversies that culminated in the shocking resignation of both Miss USA 2023 and Miss Teen USA 2023.

Among the changes that Brodeur has promised are backing away from restrictive NDAs for winners and more independence for judges, he told People

This year’s judges include The Valley’s Nia Sanchez (who won Miss USA in 2014), Bachelor Nation’s Jade Roper Tolbert, Sasha Farber from Dancing With the Stars, fashion designer Kenneth Barlis, and Hannah Edwards.

“I am looking forward to hearing what makes each of these women unique and to get to know what they are passionate about, Sanchez told Us Weekly. “Miss USA is a huge responsibility and I want to know that the women selected will be ready to take on that role.”
