How Much Taller Is Ben Shelton Than His Girlfriend Trinity Rodman?
Ben Shelton and Trinity Rodman have quickly become one of the most talked-about couples in professional sports. Fans loved seeing Rodman supporting her beau during the 2026 US Open and celebrating during his thrilling matches and victories over Carlos Alcaraz and Frances Tiafoe.
The tennis standout and the women’s soccer star hard-launched their relationship on Instagram in March 2025. Their romance has evolved from playful social media exchanges into both athletes becoming an important source of support for each other.
Shelton recently described Rodman as one of the people who keeps him “honest” and grounded.
“There are a few people that keep me honest,” he told Vanity Fair. “My girlfriend is one of them. I think, with us both being professional athletes, we’re able to relate on certain things and keep things in a certain perspective.”
The tennis player added that Rodman also keeps him from getting too frustrated because “she’s a very positive person, which helps me. If I get down on myself or feel like I am behind in my progression, these are definitely areas that she helps a lot in. She helps me to not get ahead of myself.”
Rodman has expressed a similar appreciation for having someone who understands the demands of elite sports.
“It’s the best feeling in the world, honestly,” she said during an appearance on the Not Gonna Lie with Kylie Kelce podcast. “I think to know we’re both on the grind, running our bodies to the ground, always exhausted, doing what we love, and then to also be able to be a little like a WAG in a sense, it feels so good for us.”
And when it comes to seeing each other play in person in the stands, Shelton shared his appreciation for that, explaining, “It’s cool, obviously, to be able to share these moments with her, to be able to go to her games, to be able to play in front of her and the rest of my family.
“The part that I enjoy the most is getting able to play in front of them [family], especially when I’m playing well or in a match like that. That’s enjoyable and entertaining. She definitely gets more nervous than me 100%. I can see it in her face when I’m playing.”
Their support for one another is undeniable, but something fans have wondered about is what their height difference is as Shelton seems to tower over Rodman in photos and videos of them together even when she’s in heels. Well, the Washington Spirit forward stands at 5-foot-8, while Shelton is eight inches taller standing at 6-foot-4.
