Taylor Swift stands at the pinnacle of global music success in 2025. The unprecedented impact of her “Eras Tour” and accompanying fan‑centered events redefined concert culture. Concluding in late 2024 after 149 sold‑out shows across 51 cities in 21 countries, the “Eras Tour” drew over 10 million fans worldwide. In total, the tour generated over $2 billion in ticket sales. This cemented Swift’s reputation as one of the most commercially dominant artists of the 21st century. Her most-attended single show drew 96,000 fans in Melbourne, Australia.

A study from Arka, an eco-friendly custom packaging company, researched the 30 biggest fandoms in entertainment. Arka tracked online searches for concert tickets, merch, and collectibles, and calculated fandom spending by estimating the number of queries that resulted in purchases. The study also looked at the amount that fans paid for each item.

According to Arka, Swifties had 13.77 million searches for merchandise and a total estimated expenditure of $260.8 million in 2025. This means Swift fans spent more than any other fandom this year. Additionally, they paid around $199 per concert ticket and $60 per apparel item on average. Swift tickets totaled around $165 million this year, and fan clothing totaled around $41 million.

Coldplay fans also spent a ton of money in 2025

Coldplay solidified their place as one of the most successful live acts in music history in 2025. This was in large part due to the ongoing impact of their “Music of the Spheres World Tour.” The band’s tour shattered records by selling over 10.3 million tickets worldwide, earning a Guinness World Record for the highest tour attendance, surpassing even Taylor Swift in total live audiences. That staggering turnout helped Coldplay rise to the top of Pollstar’s millennium touring rankings, with 24.8 million tickets sold across their career, making them the most‑attended touring artist since 2001, according to 93.3 WMMR.

According to the study from Arka, Coldplay fans spent $188 million in 2025, ranking them as the fandom that spent the second-highest amount this year. The band also received 15 million searches for merchandise. Additionally, Coldplay sold out shows in 2025 for $173 per ticket, totaling $156 million from fans. They sold their merchandise for around $61.50 per apparel item and $30 per collectible.

Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) fans came in 3rd place

The Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) remains one of the most talked‑about franchises in entertainment, even as audience interest and box office dynamics continue to shift. While the MCU still commands a passionate global fan base and Disney+ streaming success with series like Daredevil: Born Again drawing millions of views shortly after release, its theatrical releases this year, such as Captain America: Brave New World, Thunderbolts, and The Fantastic Four: First Steps, have seen mixed box office results. Despite these ups and downs, the franchise’s long‑term cultural footprint remains strong.

The study from Arka notes that MCU fans spent $153 million on franchise merch in 2025. The cinematic universe generated 14.54 million searches for merch, with the average apparel item costing around $50 and the average collectible costing a whopping $900. Fans spent around $131 million on collectibles in 2025.

Kendrick Lamar and Bad Bunny fandoms took fourth and fifth place, respectively. Lamar’s fandom spent $137 million and Bad Bunny’s fandom spent $120 million.
